Looking at this pic recently posted from the Paris Auto Show it looks as though there is a couple of inches on the street side before the wheel face lines up perfectly flush with the fender.
CONCEPT ![]() I know they're different cars, but the concept shows what wheels that are flush with the fender look like. If the stock 20"s are widened and altered to the correct offset I think 10" - 11" wheels w/ 315's would work

http://forums.peddersusa.com/showthread.php?t=404 "There is no wheel hop in this chassis as is common with IRS vehicles. We can tell you that the IRS is robust. The front suspension slightly modified from the ZETA / VE / Commodore G8 with essentially stronger control arms designed to handle more power with larger wheel and tire combinations. The ZETA II Camaro may well be the most structurally sound vehicle in the GM line-up exceeding the strength of the 322 / CTS. Keep in mind the CTS is as strong or stronger than the alleged best of the best coming out of Europe. The Camaro as delivered from the Dealer will be the best of the Modern Muscle on the road and with modification to the engine and suspension capable of running with anything short of the exotics. There is a reason Chevy built the ZR1. It is called the Camaro." more pics here http://forums.peddersusa.com/showthread.php?t=122

yeah actually it will. i had a blower on my trans am and 295 on the rear with drag radials and it was just fine. any good river can control the power no matter what tire is on the car.

id like to see a 22" drag radial.... seriously. whats the aspect ratio on those? or are you just saying that you are going to run 22" wheels with performance tires on them? cus there is just a slight difference Quote:
but when I go to the track, im running 16" wheels with P255/50R16 drag slicks.

as far as the drag radials for a 22" rim they dont exist,YET. the wheel and tire after market is huge. there will be a drag radial for a 22" rim sooner than you think. cars are starting to have stock 20" rims and 10 years ago that would have sounded like the dumbest thing in the world, but were in those times now. as far as what tire ill put on the 22" rears, i dont know ill have to see what combination i can do for the front to stagger it. im thinking right not goodyear or pirelli. i know pirelli already makes the tires in 22" in many widths, i just dont know what will fit.

If you prefer road course, why would you A. get 22s? They're gonna be heavy as shit and cost you handling, feel, and ultimately, time. Tires will be prohibitively expensive, especially if you're going to be putting them through track abuse. B. get drag radials? Drag radials are known for their soft sidewall, designed to give on the holeshot. They're Godawful for going left or right.

a: i like the look b: its not just going to be used for racing all the time c:the price doesnt bother me,i paid 1800 for a set of pirelli 24" tires for my truck d: drag radials are not any softer sidewall that a regular tire. the difference is in the tread pattern and the amount touching the surface of the ground. e: the 22's i was debating on getting are HRE and they are about as light as a set of 18's. one of the best racing/street wheels made
