Depends of you tolerance for drive ability. You will also need a tune. I had a hot cam in my LS1 and if it was an A4, it wouldn't idle.
Before anyone starts playing with cam swaps, be sure to have a way to tune.

the heads arent quite different, they are L92 heads that ls2/7 LQ4/LQ9 guys use for better performance. they can be adapted for LS1/6 apps (or vice versa), but its not cheap

custom grind....

a hot cam has and always will be the little bumpstick that gives the everyday driver a lil extra power. if you want power, go with a custom grind. and drivability is whatever you are willing to put up with.

3 bolt 4x cam gear?

Last one on the page.

You will also need a 3 bolt 4X Cam gear. The LS3 cam gear is now a single bolt design. A LS2 non GTO gear would work. The chain and tensioner are good to go.

This modification would not be covered under warranty. Also GM does not have a calibration that would work in the Camaro. As you know GM Performance Parts has a controller that is available for their crate LS376/480. That controller is not compatable with the Camaro.

I am sure that most tuners would be able to tune that cam change.

Robin

Does anyone know the PN for the cam gear?

Your answer was on post #30 See below

In my previous post I said that the GMPP Crate engine with this cam makes 480. I assume that it would make that in the Camaro also.
Because the current LS3 cam has lobes with 204/211 duration it sounds healthy. The GMPP Hot Cam has duration numbers of 219/228 so it will have more lope. Rememeber a cam is a comprimise. To get a little better at the top your going to give up a little on the bottom.
Define "idle fine" LOL, because your average tree hugger wants all cars to idle like the thier toyota.
I like the idle just fine
