What would be a better deal would be to have one already set up and do a swap out with a core charge.
At 77 lbs. most of us are not going to NDA it to you, so unless we're on the east coast we're realistically looking at 2 weeks + down time.

I thought about that but it is not viable, I would have to purchase several cores NEW at 1160.00 each that is a lot of sales to make up for it.

I think either wait it out to keep costs to a min or purchase the parts only and install locally.

Unless you guys know a place I can buy cores for cheap.

How are the Street maners of this Build.
Is it normaly open and lock up on wheel spin.
And how will it react to Road Racing Vs Drag Strip.

Thanks

I was out driving the car yesterday and the street manners are excellent, in fact If I didn't tell you I modified your Posi and you never raced it or took it to the track you would never Know.

Road Racing Won't be a Problem, and Drag racing will be much improved.

We have increased clutch surface area by 65%, plus a few other details I would rather not discuss, but it stops the car from spinning 1 tire when you need 2.

I may be able to get you one. Let me check with the people that have it and see if it is available.

I remember talking to Uncle Robin about the weak spot was the 2 pinion posi. Glad to see someone is addressing it. I am sure you will end up with a lot of customers. There were a lot of single wheel burnouts at C5F.

Maybe one of the guys who are swapping their rears out for another model diff. might sell them reasonably.

I don't know if this question is one that can be answered, yet, but assuming the basic IRS mods' are done (i.e. subframe and differential bushing replacements), and we have bullet-proof axles on the car, what is about the limit of the 8.5-inch rear end on these cars? I understand a 12-bolt to have about an 8.75-inch ring gear and the 9-inch is, well, DUH, but would you say it's reasonable to expect long life, at say 600-650 RWHP, with the mods' above and your mods' to the diff'? I know a lot of GN guys go pretty dang fast on their 8.5s, so I have hope that these will hold-up, too. I know this car is no lightweight, but I'm hoping you guys are getting an idea of their strength, when set-up correctly.

Thanks for any input

You kind of answered your own question with the GN guys example, they are running in the 8s with a few upgrades.

Like anything else Power finds the Weak Links, We address those weak links and you have a Pretty good Piece without breaking the bank and buying a whole completely different Unit.

I can vouge for this. I was in the car w/ Ted Last Friday and there was NO chatter or noise. You dont even know its there and this car 30" X 12" SLICKS on it.
Great job Ted!

The easiest way is to drop the whole cradle, but it can also be removed from the car with the cradle in but let down in the front.

i dont even touch the cradle when removing the diff from these cars, i just drop the exhaust, take out the right side axle, un-bolt the driveshaft from the diff, take out 3 bolts from the diff mounts and drop out the diff and slide it to the right side to pop out the pass axle shaft, takes about 25 min
