It all depends on the look you are going for. Skooter has a black SS and left them unpainted adding CGM stripes to the car. It looks BAD @SS. But, if you were going for a black car with white stripes, I'd paint them.

It all depends on everything else you want to do.

Personally, I'd paint them....unless you are doing what Skooter was doing with the matching stripes. I'm sure he's got pix too of it.

I take it back...saw an SS with the effects painted...looks finished this way!

I left mine unpainted on my black SS with matte black stripes.

Thanks for the compliment. I think I bought the black vinyl pieces for the front and back bowties at Big Worm Motorsports http://www.bigwormmotorsports.com/ ,but there are many other places sell them.
