I love them. 3 paint chips in 1 month before getting them. None since. I think they look good. Ordered them from ebay from a GM parts place $160. Easy to install. I want to keep by baby looking good. Check before & after pics.

Counted 6 paint chips in the first month I got the car. I installed the splash guards and love them!

+1

They don't look bad at all...

I have had my car since 5/19/09, and have no paint chips...

We actually ordered them and received them before the car was ever delivered...that's how I first saw exactly how the RJT would look, since we ordered the car before production started...

I would rather have the splash guards than the paint chips...just sayin'...

I think people will be suprised how chipped their paint gets if they forego the splash guards. Today's paints just don't stand up. Our GT1 Corvette had GM splash guards before it ever left the lot.
Before I put the splash guards on, I had Clearshield installed on the gills, rockers, full bumper, 1/4 fenders, 1/4 hood, and where the splash guards "touch" the car. That way, if I ever want to take the splash gurards off, the paint underneath will still be like new/unmarked.

I would say it depends a lot on the roads you travel..... If you have a limestone driveway or travel down anything resembling a country road where the rocks in the asphalt are loose they would be very beneficial. Tires pick up rocks and release them at speed which is what causes the chips.

If I were still Living in Louisiana I would have them on mine. Here in Houston I do not need them. Besides.... Black touches up very easily.

Easy. Do you have any chips on your present vehicle? _ No _yes

Use same answer to decide if you want flaps.

Problem resolved.

I can tell you I do not live on a dirt road my car is a daily driver on the highway and my front bumper had 11 rock chips (no I do not follow close and I do not follow rock trucks) I would wash my car and after a drive I would have trash all over the sides from the tiires (road junk) I installed the splash guards no junk after that

I have the OEM yellow splash guards. Easy to install, look okay and for sure protect the paint. Better to have, than not to have.
