If any of you are awake. How do I remove the second engine cover? I have removed bolts but I can't get that silver thing going over it to budge. I will keep searching but haven't found it yet. :(

The silver thing is the fuel rail. If you have the 4 bolts out, the rail is still held in by each fuel injector's o-ring. Usually you can kinda wiggle the fuel rail (on each end) while pulling up, and it will dislodge them. Don't remove the clips on the fuel injectors, or else you'll make a big fuel mess, and could catch on fire. You may have to unplug the electrical connector of each fuel injector, to get enough clearance to pull the cover out. Make sure each fuel injector keeps both o-rings attached to it. If one comes off, make sure you find it and reinstall it to the fuel injector. Sometimes the fuel rail is also blocked in by the two brackets on the back of the intake, you may have to remove or at least loosen those. Also make sure you don't get debris down the fuel injector holes.

Not a super easy job, but not too difficult.

Thanks Jeremy....I got it done....and wish I would have read your reply before I went out and did it. And yes, don't remove the clips..(oops) I didn't make too big of a mess and got it cleaned up lol.

Here is the finished job. Also a long with some pictures of led light swap outs.

Before

AFTER

Before
-- You can see my front side light has an orange tint to it.

AFTER
-- Now the light has a yellow tint with the LED light.

My next project is to swap out my reverse lights with leds. Has anyone done this? Sounds like I have to take off the back bumper, which if that's the case.....I may have to call my friends at JDP

Looks good, and glad it went well! Now you'll have to do the JDP Heater Hose Relocation kit (available soon) to make it look even better!

Yeah, I believe the rear bumper cover does have to come off to change the reverse lights. I've done it, not terribly hard, but not easy.

Yeah I talked to Jordan about that the other day.

You need to get those color changing lights going too

But first thing first, I need the can thingy to catch all the bad stuff

(totally spacing what it's called) OH wait, Catch Can hahaha.

And I also need an oil change.

Definitely! I just posted some of my cam install pics in here (2nd page), where my valves were getting bad spots in them. Catch can immediately went on after that!

Yeah, especially with that really cool "intake manifold" your gonna be getting! Don't want it to be oil soaked!

Looks great!!!! Those lights turned out nice and I think the engine looks better without a bunch of covers!

Kinda makes me a little miffed that GM didn't include a decent catch can on the engine to begin with. So, I'm glad I got a good catch can from our friends at JDP. Which brings another question to my mind.... even if I buy one of the "good" brands of gas I have heard that it is still beneficial to use some gas additive from time to time. My question is how often and is any one brand of additive any better than any other? Anyone care to comment?

I never said a waste of money, just a $1 Mt Dew bottle serves the same purpose. I'm 100% for putting them on.
