As for the performance shop comment I was referring to what ViperTomCat said about real world drivers not hitting 12's in the SS while "real world" drivers were doing it in the GT. However, I'd argue that CURRENTLY it's the exact opposite, but in no way am I saying that real drivers won't hit those numbers.
how many 2011 Stangs have hit the track? about 10? and they already are putting down just as good of numbers as the Camaro has in the last 14 months its been out

ok guys, here is the deal on the 2011. in short throttle response is dampened artificially. steady state throttle position yields maximum performance until a tune fixes the program.

race an un tuned 2011 from a roll you will kill it. race it from a track it has its best performance. standing start is its strong suit.

Has this been recognized or is it just an assumption by someone on the internet? I'm not questioning it's possibility just wondering how reliable the source is.

You missed the most important one of them all: http://www.corral.net

I have been a member there for years and there are some great folks with a lot of knowledge who participate frequently.

considering its MY car and my right foot i think of it as a very solid characteristic. this 4v does not rev quickly as factory tuned.

if in fact my car does run high to mid 12's, it will be open for inspection by anyone who wants to.

Well I have run 12.2`s and a bunch of them w/ 3 mods, AR Headers w/ catted x-pipe, ADM Race CAI and a tune on stock Pirelli`s. I think thats pretty impressive for an L99. But its all in part choices, throwing a bunch of stuff randomly w/ out giving a lot of thought is not going to yield good results. Thats what a lot of people on here have done. My next mod is a Whipple blower. It is a front mount so I can run my ADM and its a screw style that I`m shooting for 550-575rwhp w/ stock internals. I chose this blower because it will make power in the lower rpm`s since you can`t spin the L99 AFM lifters high which precludes a centrifical style blower, on the positive blowers the TVS doesn`t make enough power for me w/ out a cam swap, the Kenny bell is a rear mount can`t use my CAI. So Whipples the one, I will add roughly 200rwhp to my car. With good tires perhaps suspension upgrades, is there any doubt I can drop 1.2 tenths w/ 200rwhp.... My car will run in the 10`s w/ stock internals. Its all about the setup my brotha. I had a heads and cam stock bottom end LT1 w/ les than 400rwhp that ran 11.4`s all day long and beat many blown mustangs w/ much more power, again its picking the right parts that work together, setup baby...

I'm amazed at the way the vette was reeling you in toward the end. He couldn't catch up, but it shows how well the LS engines do up top. You win on low end torque. I like the LT1 cars.

It was a z06 w/ a CAI, Headers, full exhaust, an electric water pump and a tune, it put down over 500rwhp. So it was lighter, had over 100 more rwhp, but as you can see setup gets to the end of the 1320 first...

I think this is all because of driving experience and the IRS isn't very suited for drag racing.

For comparision's sake, orangechevy has run ~10.3@134 with almost equal mods as what the fastest 5.0 ran (10.58@128), albeit with a bigger shot of nitrous (200vs125-150), but using STOCK suspension components versus the 5.0's fully optimised drag suspension.

I wasn't aware they upped the shot. They originally broke 10's on the 100 shot. Where did you see they upped it? Just wondering.
