Hey Orange, I feel for you and the wait. Mine has been down for only a couple of weeks and the butterflies are back in my stomach just like the first time when my car was close to being back home from LPE.

AWESOME!!!! It wouldn't be right without your car at the fest. I just can't wait to see all you've done. I'm taking mine out to both tracks Saturday to "break in" my 18"s I'll wash it Sunday, but I'm driving mine so it'll probably need another wash in Phoenix. Rs is still in the basement.

I have a long list of cosmetic upgrades in store for it when I get it back home but there is one thing I have been on the fence about for the longest time. LPE has a KILLER rear end that should be ready by the time my car is done and I can't decide on that or all the other cosmetic/lighting/paint stuff I had planned.

You all could help me out with one question though. I had a long discussion with Jeff and the LPE crew about how to make my stock drive-train last for at least 35,000 miles with over 200HP added to it. Are any of you still running +600HP through the stock drive-train and if so do you have any tips for me that doesn't cost "X"-thousand dollars? Do any of you have video of how you shift/race from inside the car so I can see your footwork. A few weeks ago I shot a video of me and a buddy waking up the cars from our winter break... by watching this video can you tell if I am shifting right or how can I change something about my driving to reduce the chance of tearing the half-shafts in two. FYI, I only do this about once or twice a year (and when a pus-stang meets me at a light), its not like I drive this way every day

Welcome Orange! Kudos to you for reading all of this long thread!! I know you're gonna love your car, PLUS it's a GREAT color!!! I agree with the guys on at least doing the clutch, half shafts, and I would add the trailing arms to your list as a bare minimum. Cosmetic mods are awesome, but can be done little by little. Also, you might find that your driving habits might change drastically after you get your car back!!! I can attest to the difficulty replacing a clutch, since we just helped our friend do a twin disc clutch on his. It's MUCH MUCH better to have Lingenfelter do it. Anyway, if you're anything like the rest of us, you're gonna have a very hard time holding back, so I won't egg you on any more than that...YET... Looking forward to watching your build progress, and seeing the permagrin you get once you have it back!!!!!

I am done Modding for the time being.. I will still do little things to it. I don't like to change things during racing season. It upsets the balance of the vehicle. Time to start learning the car and tuning it again.

It should be a good race season this year!
