You guys are on the right track! Keep the faith the madness is almost over. ALL Camaro orderers will be happy before its all said and done.

So, since the factory has to produce a certain percentage of V8's along with the V6's, and they are not going to supply showrooms with any V8's, the V8's produced should therefore be pre-order V8's.

Whether or not pre-order V6's are also made in conjunction with the showroom V6's is another matter. But with everything FbodFather and Scotty have told us, I don't see how the whole showroom V6 scenario doesn't benefit V8 pre-orders (assuming there isn't a very unfavorable V6/V8 split like 97%/3%).

Ahh...ok so I see!

It would make sense to start the production of pre orders at the same time the dealer's are getting their V6 cars...I only thought the V6s would be at each dealer first and then they had to add another order as part of their allocations and it too must be a V6.

If the second car, the one counting against allocations, doesn't have to be a V6 then yeah, I'd say some V8s may very well hit the dealers about the same time the dealer stock V6 does! That would be awesome!!

That has been confirmed by Scott (Fbodfather). Now I absolutely take it as Gospel.

I want my car just as much as the next guy, but if GM needs 30 days to make it perfect, then I have no problems with that. Gives me an extra month's paycheck to put down on the car

Thanks so much for all of the information you provide, Scott and Scotty, as well as putting up with and squashing any and all rumors that surface. Y'all are truly much more patient than I could ever be. Keep up the awesome work, and it may not be said as often as it should, but everyone here thanks you for everything y'all do.

You are EXACTLY right in your understanding! Anyone saying anything to the contrary is just trying to ruffle feathers.

fbodfather,

Quick question, will the Aux 4 Pack Gauge be an Option to be installed by the Dealer on the 1SS trim. I know I can't get the 1SS from the factory with it. I want the Aux 4 Pack Gauge but Do Not want leather or all the other stuff I ready don't need or want.

My local dealers can't give me an answer. One said that If I could It probably would bring the total cost close to the price of the 2SS trim to get it. I think thats Bull.

Thank You for your time.

Yes we CAN. We can built a V6 only 24 hours a day 365 days a year if we wanted too. We can build a engineless Camaro "which i have championed to Scott to no avail, think of the aftermartket possibilitys!" if we wanted too.

Where did you get your figure that we cannot build V6 Camaro as a standalone product? because you have been greatly misinformed.

Hey Zedder, didn't they say that they will be offering just a shell to drag racers? I figured that you guys would be responsible for assembling those bodies.

That i do not know of. Would make sense, but i havent heard if we are or not. IF we are, we will be told after ramp up and get a couple train fulls of Camaros out there and orders filled.

What i was talking to Scott about awhile ago is to build a fully complete Camaro minus the drivetrain. Therefore any joe 6-pack can order the combonation of his choosing through GMPP and have himself or most likely due to warrenty issues a stealership install his new power package combo.

Personally i would order a 2SS with no drivetrain and install a 572 supercharged GM motor with accompanying 6 speed built to bulletproof specs.

Eitherway GM makes their money.

But as Scott brought up, there is legal issues and red tape galore in that situation.

And i do not think Joe Public can order the Camaro drag shall unless your part of a NHRA or similar organizational team.
