I'm a Camaro guy so I will never own a Mustang, but I can admit when they have us beat in a certain category and not blindly say that the Camaro is faster because I like it.

Oh and you need to learn how forums work, just because I posted after you doesn't mean I was talking about you getting owned. I was talking about the guy I quoted. Mkay, thanks.

I noticed in the videos you posted that they called the COPO a concept. "Concept" being the key word. Final product could be a lot different. God forbid we see what the real world owners and drivers of these cars can do with them. We wouldn't want any facts to blemish their reputations. The ring is a great place to simulate real world driving. Much like "concept", "simulate" is the key word.
So because I believe this car isn't any less awesome I'm a cult member? sorry not following. I've called people on both sides out over BS.

The COPO was confirmed for production, but very limited.

Please explain how taking a car to a performance track and fine tuning a suspension for tracking is simulating real world driving? last I checked simulating something didn't involve actually doing the driving. Simulating hitting bumps can be done in a lab. driving around in the real world would give good feed back for real world driving. and they do that. so please again explain how they simulate real world driving on a race track like that?

You go to the ring to show what a car is capable of. not to simulate shit.

How many races did those guys win? going to go with not a lot. you need both along with good suspension and good driver.

This is the most powerful camaro ever produced. It has the most horsepower. so who's the one twisting marketing? just pulling an old post from you.

Im glad to see the above time slip and hope to see more like this and better. You should try out for Americas got talent with your ass trick.

Exactly, regurgitating advertising from a manufacturer and speculators on a website who are also going by advertising. As I stated I'm not a GM cult member. You say I should sell my Camaro for not believing all the hype and choosing to await facts. Excellent business plan you have. Perhaps everyone who doesn't believe every word GM puts out should stop buying their products.
Are you buying a COPO or ZL1? I dont know I am not the one with a picture of 2 gm cars in his driveway saying I dont believe the hype. So why did you buy the camaro and saturn sky? As you have repeatedly stated you are not a GM cult member...

Do you own stock in GM and thats why you are upset?

If you know how it works why did you think I was talking about you?

I always talk about what this forum is about, my statements about what this forum is about just happen to hurt sensitive people's feelings.

The original '69 ZL1 was known as a 13.1sec car and it was nearly a thousand pounds lighter; just sayin.

Not thrilled with those numbers at all in fact i spent all day trying to secure a 2013 allocation and now i am not so sure i want one. I am not buying the car for staight line only but at that price and 580hp it should do better than that
Don't know your goals but the ZL1 does seem to be a very sweet ride and a 'somewhat' powerful car WITH a factory warranty. With that being said I do not feel these cars will be an investment piece. Used SS's are becoming quite common at very decent $$ (much to my chagrin). At 60K+ for the Z you can have a killer SS built for way less. Like I said-what is your goal? At the end of the day/year/decade they are only worth what someone will pay and IMHO it will be much less than we have in them. Whatever you decide-best of luck-sounds like it will be a Camaro so you can't go wrong I can tell I missed alot of posts-it's late so I won't be catching up but my point is still relevant-just a couple hundred posts back!
