Still pretty slow. I have tried 93 octane gas (only one place sells it in my city) plus octane booster. Also, fuse pull. All sorts of things. Still cannot light up the tires that good. I can, now, sometimes, power break to a nice result.

I am pretty sure that octane booster isn't very good stuff to use. I think you will here from some other members on here as to the negative effect it can have on an engine specifically the spark plugs.

Run tank of gas to near to empty as you can. Go to a different gas station than normal. Perferably name brand station, fill it up. Take it home and fuse pull OVERNIGHT.

Report back.

Suppose I called my dealer and told him to put 93 in it when it arrived and he said not a problem we can get that done free of charge if supervisor oks it. Supervisor ok it and it was done and I have no reason to believe they didnt. The car will burn tires and spins on launch and seems plenty fast and peppy. What did the car arrive to the dealer with and would that little amount matter if it was immediatly filled with 93. It had 10 miles on it when I picked it up. Would I benefit from fuse pull or would it just reset it and have to learn the same level it has now?

It sounds fine, but there's no harm in the fuse pull. I didn't even leave mine overnight, but left them out 2 hours and it worked.

Just ordered my 2SS RS (automatic) this week. Will I have to do this if the car has never had low octane gas in it? I will tell the dealer NOT to put any gas in it when it arrives - or I'll tell them to be sure to only put 91 in it.

I just installed a set of shorty headers on my LS3. I was told by the header manufacturer that I should disconnect my battery to reset the computer AFR settings to enable the computer to relearn with the headers installed. Does removing and then reinstalling the #5 and #20 fuses do the same thing without disconnecting the battery?

All gas comes from the same gasoline pipeline infrastructure. Only difference is the additives that are added. All oil companies put thier gas in the same pipeline head and the fuel tanker trucks get the mixed gas at various filling depots across the nation. At that point additives are mixed into the tankers trucks. I

MO the name brand is only good for a warm feeling in your tummy.

It won't shift to the lower table if it has always had 91 or better in it. But if you think it's too slow, I'd do it. The dealer might very well fudge on this.

Just pulled the fuses on my LS3, will put them back in tomorrow morning about 8am, so they will be out 14 hours. My car seems fairly quick, but not 426hp quick, more like 300hp quick. I am getting my doors blown off by C6 Vettes consistently. I realize the LS3 Camaro is a slower car, but it should be able to give a new Vette a run and keep up for a while. Mine is not even close right now. I just changed the oil for the first time too tonight, with 1,200 miles on it. Hopefully both of these things will work magic for me in the morning I will report back my findings.

A lot heavier car also. C6 Corvettes are no where near a slouch.

try more hp and leighter than you so dont get so uptight when you lose to a corvette. If thats your goal either gain more hp or lose some weight.

good luck !

The Fuse pull works on all cars but its mostly working for the Auto's the most. I'm guessing it has to do with the computer and timing.

For an 8000 gallon tanker of gasoline they add a whole Quart of there special additives. A quart for an 8000 gallon tanker!

Hadn't been online in a while and was surprised to see this. I'm trying it tonight to see how it goes. Thanks for all the great advice.
