I only worry about the last stop to Valdosta...the others (from Lafayette to Biloxi to our stop in Florida) are maybe 3 hours or so apart...that last one is 4 hours...or right at it!

I get decent milage if I stay out of the gas. But I don't see us not playing some on the way there!

i still get around 22-23mpg hwy. it should be ok. but in town i get around 10-11mpg

You should have no problem seeing that 29mpg or at least very close to it.

It will take you until your 2nd fill-up to actually be close to that after driving at highway speeds.

I usally average high 20's on the highway.

Unfortunately, I drive state highways with stoplights, slow drivers, 55MPH, etc. so I've not really had the opportunity to test out the MPGs on the real highway. Looking forward to it!

Whats the route you are taking from Tallahassee? Wife and I take the ol' shortcut from FSU-land to Valdosta, 319/35 to 84 East. Few other back roads but would have to look at map to refresh memory. Gas stops I would also need to look at map to remember. Before the causeway in Louisiana was one I recall but others would have to look at. Want to say we stopped right off of 10 at 319 somewhere for last stretch to Vladosta area.
