Quick question for all with a black camaro or dark color. What have you found to be the best wax? I tried Turtle Wax and it just down right sucked. I don't know if I got a bad bottle or what but all it did was leave streaks on my car. Open to any and all suggestions. This goes for quick detailer, pre wax and wax. First dark colored car I've owned so I'm still looking for the best products. Thanks

I only went Saturday, but got to drive the 1LE. ![]() Mine did good with a best of 68.7, but the car is a lot more capable it just takes me forever to adjust to the course, on the last fun run I clocked a 66 but moved a couple cones.

Ok I'll have to look into the Adams products. I stopped at Auto zone and picked up just a small thing of mcguires quick detailer to undo what that Turtle wax crap did. I've been told that with having a black car that I need to buy wax and pre wax made specifically for black cars. Any idea if that is true?

Are you putting wax on in the sun? I know I waxed mine in the sun with Adams and mothers and came off easy. Some of these waxes dry hard and fast so you have to do one panel at a time. Might be easier and safer on the car if you rewash the car than trying to remove the stuff that's on there. No need to buy a wax for a black car, any good wax will do. Get yourself some mothers synthetic wax, you won't regret it. I got it at orielies, but imam pretty sure Walmart or auto zone, pep boys carries it.

Nah I wasn't waxing in the sun. I was waxing at 7am this morning right after I gave her a bath. I think I just had a bad bottle or something. I was also doing one panel at a time. I really don't know what happened other then it was driving me crazy. Thanks for the advice I'll pick up some of the mothers synthetic wax and give it a try.

yeah, a lot of people rave on the Adam's products. I have never used any yet. I do have their waffle weave drying towels and they are very good. Still takes 4 towels to dry the car without streaking and spotting. I use Meguires products myself. Mothers and Meguires are both good off the shelf products. I have some work to do on my ZL1 from the previous owners. The other thing is to use good towels and wash mitts. If you want some good info on washing, claying and waxing look up The Junkman videos (on here or youtube).
