And she still chirps like crazy! I pulled the catback AND connection pipes on Friday just to eliminate the connection to the collectors. Sounded good besides the chirping! Next step will have to be pulling the headers off and running it with the stock manifolds and midpipes. In reality.. after I cut open the oil filter and it was clean as could be, I decided it wasn't a big deal. I'd still like to figure out WTF is chirping though.

It does chirp out of both headers. I find that to be a little odd. Confusing shit!

Hemp I used to have a racing buddy back home that had an old Chevy truck that sounded like a flock of Chimney sweeps flying around inside his engine. It was the damnedest thing. We use to crack jokes on his truck. Hope you get it figured out. Starting to be like finding Bigfoot! Lol

Yeah it's a weird one. I can kinda hear the sound pattern in the cars around here and the videos online, but no one else's actually chirps. It should be quite the exciting day when I finally figure it out!

Hey guys! Hemp, was that you over on the other site? Anyway, tomorrow or Wednesday I'm probably gonna get around to installing the ported intake manifold that has been on my living room floor for the past couple months!! Should be fun...dreading draining the coolant. Any tips or special tools I should need, let me know. I got all the basics covered but you never know...

That was me. I was tired of this site being down.

Why do you have to drain the coolant to swap manifolds?

No special tools bud. No need to drain coolant.
Ls1howto.com has a good write up that's been up for years. BE CAREFUL WITH the rear oil pressure sensor when you pull the intake out. It's really easy.
