I gotta learn what some of this cam stuff means. I just know John's sounds awesome!

Well ya wanna be careful with the CAM if you drive the car on the street a lot. Too much and it'll be sluggish down low. The blower will obviously help with that though.

I do know on a blower CAM you want the exhaust duration to be greater. The intake doesn't need as much help since the blower is forcing the air in. On the exhaust side you want it open longer to let all those burned gasses out.

The LSA needs to stay in check to avoid losing boost (and power).

My buddy just went through this on his supercharged Challenger. The shop put on CAM in and he only gained like 15HP. They did some research and swapped the CAM and he picked up like 50.

Fortunately I have it in good hands. He explained what I can expect. I'm pretty excited I guess. I do wish I'd have swapped the header manifold gaskets before though.

Once Ron confirms that the whole problem was the manifold gasket, I can update the thread OP and put it to bed.

With the LSA at 115 you will have good street drivability!! No bucking!

So an exhaust leak CAN cause a surge or hesitation. Up by the headers anyway.

I'm guessing because the O2s are telling the engine there is not enough fuel?

I was wondering if it didn't create enough back pressure and caused a hesitation, dip in RPM, or dying. I dunno, but it's learnin.

Yeah Vengeance seems to know what they're doing. Be sure to post up the final outcome, whether here or a new thread. I wanna see how much power that thing can really make.

The dying HAD to be an adjustment by the computer based on readings. (Of course I'm guessing in a knowledgable tone LMAO)

The leak had to be miniscule. I was going to slide some gaskets in there too. Ugh..............

Randy, we will be replacing the PAPER exhaust manifold gaskets with OEM GM MLS gaskets to cure the HUGE exhaust leak pouring out of cylinder 6 & 8. This should cure the surging issue as well as the loud "ticking" coming from the engine.

Ill snap some pics of the "damage" as soon as I can get a chance to sneak out into the shop.

She should be purring like a kitten (with a nice lope) in just a few days.

So I'm not really sure. It's one of the two.
