Savini: Watch those hands, the wheels are known to bite.

Ok, just got off the phone with nick. One of the wheels was apperently damaged somewhere in shipping, and cuased the problem. The other three seem to be within acceptable tolerances. The tire shop scraped the hell out of them mounting them.
The damage to the one rear is the cause of my shaking it seems. They are gonna fix it for me. Nick has been gracious enough to have the guys in the shop at Savini take a look at my vid on my request, to help me to understand it. But either way, I should be rolling in a week or so. |

ok..................*deep breath*
Here is the read out numbers from our machine. These numbers are in millimeters, so they are reading to the 1/100 of a millimeter and the average tolerance is .6mm. Keep in mind, all 4 of the wheels have physical damage from the tire mounting machine and marks on the mounting pad from the washers on the wheel studs (on vehicle). Wheel 1: Wheel 2: Wheel 3: Wheel 4 (Has physical damage to the outer lip): As you can see in the video, it is nice and true on our machine. <object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/yNraDG744_c&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/yNraDG744_c&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object> |

Glad Nick is taking care of You. I had Wheel Studio mount and balance mine with no issues. I hope everything works out. I would physically watch them mount those tires. I did, they were very careful on mine. The fliipin things are expensive enough to have someone else screw them up.
