Larry Miller

Rally Drive thru the mountains 9 AM at 5280 Wadsworth Blvd at the IHOP rest for breakfast. Pulling out around 9:45 AM We will be heading out I70 to C470 to 285. Once on 285 we will be seeing some of the greenest areas of the Central Rocky Mountains with valleys full of mountain flowers thanks to one of the wettest summers on record. We will stop at scenic points and travel at a family friendly pace. Then once we get to South Park we will of course be on the lookout for Stan, Cartmen and the entire gang from South Park. I understand they are filming new episodes so maybe we will get lucky. In addition to seeing famous TV stars we will probably check out historic South Park City which is an authentic old mountain town with buildings and museums showing life in the 1880's.

Larry Miller Back on the road Hywy 9 we will travel thru Alma to the base of Hooser Pass. Here there is one of the richest gold panning streams in the entire west. Coming down from mosquito pass gold flows down the streams and can easily be panned from the streams. If the kids have never picked gold from a pan this would prove to be so fun watching them get the same feeling as what drove the miners to Colorado in the 1850's Sean is planning to fish for another Colorado treat. Trout along the way when ever he gets a chance to get his line wet.

Larry Miller Up and over Hooser Pass we will encounter the Blue River which Don said is over the banks at the Breckenridge side of the pass. So we will go slow thru the 30 or so feet of water that has crossed the road. They rode motorcycles thru it so we should be fine..But will take it easy none the less. One more stop to walk around Breckenridge and perhaps have an Ice Cream stop and enjoy the 70 degree temps of cool downtown Breckenridge. From there we will take a leisurely drive to Farmers Corner and take a right on the back side of Dillon Reservoir. About half way around we can stop at Windy Point and spend a little time exploring Lake Dillon. Once back on the road we are moments away from Keystone Resort where we can perhaps have a few snacks while sitting on a patio .

Larry Miller Now depending on the group we can determine if anyone wants to make the stop at Blackhawk on the way back or we can stop in Idaho springs and check out the town or the Arco gold mine. Confirmed attendance so far is Derek,Larry, Susan and Dave, Sean and Tif, and Don and Jan may meet us in South Park. Ron and Joan may be bringing both their Camaro's as well.

Larry Miller So get yourself up and going.. Look at your list of chores and honey do's and talk the wife into a nice day doing what we are supposed to be doing.. Enjoying the Colorado Summer from our Camaro's with a cool drive in the Mountains.

Cheyenne Frontier Days/USAF Thunderbirds

Thinking of making a trip up to Cheyenne on Wednesday to take my family to see the Thunderbirds. You guys got any suggestions on where's a good spot to watch them from as well as parking, how early should I roll into Cheyenne, cause I'm assuming it's going to get pretty packed. Appreciate the help.

Nice! I saw them in D.C. during the Dr. Feelgood tour. Warrant opened up for them. Both bands rocked You won't be dissapointed. The Crue puts on a great show! Although Neil, T-bone, Sixx, and Mars were probably a little bit more mobile back in the day. Have fun!

WEEKEND DRIVE. Ok this week we will start this earlier. Lets throw out some ideas and locations. And nail down the best day Saturday or Sunday. I have to say that the time outside the car was a blast as well so perhaps another cool Colorado Tourist adventure would be great. I70 late on Sunday is not a good idea though so lets keep that in mind. Anyone given any thought to trailridge road? And maybe a picinic in Rocky Mountain Park. Or up to the top of Pikes Peak ? Or Flouresent for some fossle digging and petrified forrest? Cripple Creek is just down the road a bit from there. See discussion started on the wall on Facebook. CCOTR Larry

Went up to Adams Polishes and all I can say is WOW! The products are awesome and the customer service is better than the products. They answered all my questions. I was so shocked and blown away I forgot to ask a few questions...hahaha

You are an Adams addict now huh? Join the club! We have reached a final destination for this weeks Drive. Pikes Peak Highway on Sunday with a Pot luck picinic about halfway up with some short hikes or just relaxing in the cool mountain air. Details with start locations and times will be forthcoming.
Currently we are for sure meeting at America the Beuatiful park in Colorado Springs at 10 AM. Other locations either from Pueblo or Denver or Longmont will be forthcoming.

I'll be at the Colorodan, but I'll be there working in the Adam's booth. Stop by and say hi if you get a chance. Ask for Randy.

I liked the Adams stuff before I visited them, now I will never use anything else! I forgot to ask them what to use on my vinyl stripes and my Jeep soft top.

If work does not raise its ugly head I should make this one.
