My dealer told me that sometimes color options and release dates all come down to paint availability. He thinks that's why white was late getting released but who knows.

I think this is all nonsense. This is how rumors get started.
First off, the 2010 model year will run for another year, not end next month. Also, Summit white just came out 3 months ago and it's on all the trucks, the Impala, Malibu, etc. One of the easiest ways for G.M. to change their cars yearly is by making color changes, but lets not get carried away by rumors.

i hope not this is color i am ordering. according to a post else where it only stated that abm was the color getting the axe though, hope white doesn't.

wanted abm but i can't order till jan so thats not going to work for me

I just ordered my Summit White 2ss/rs two days ago and they didn't say there was any issue with ordering white.

I think your dealer is a few months behind or he hasn't ordered a SW yet. myold88 is right. It was a late release color. But I have my awesome SW so if they did quit that color (which they won't) it would not hurt my feeling. Us Summit White folks would be real rare then.

In 2011 the white color is going to be called "Olympic White". Not sure if that is a different white or not, but that is the name they are giving it.

Very sorry for the confusion. I posted that car showing what I was going to replicate with the new car. The "pace car Z10 clone." I have a 69 but it's factory Hugger Orange and will stay that way.
