the first thing I would do in the bargining phase of buying one that looked like that, would be to have the mirrors removed and replaced with the mirrors we have not, other wise, NO DEAL!!! those things are FUGLY!!!!

OMG.. they really mess it up with those mirrors and tail lights. Glad to have my 2010 SS/RS, Inferno Orange beast, 6 SP MT and a lot other things. Hope those changes are for the European market ONLY.....

GM -you're kidding, right?
 I've been a silent avid reader for a long time now, but I must say these mods are almost just embarassing. It looks like wings (mirrors) with funky glasses (tail lights). The additional field of view blocked also would not be desirable. I certainly would be changing them out if I would have waited another year for a 2012 (if US market).Disappointed.

Funny / sad thing here is the inference that these changes are intended for European market only - so thats ok then....
There is no reason on earth why Europeans would go for such silly looking tail end lights or somehow would want the car to look different from US versions There may be reasons in terms of legal requirements for things like mirror sizes etc - which will be something that GM cant do anything about - but main thing is that any changes should have same thought/care applied as to what was clearly so well thought out on the initial design. The other good aspect of this - and this forum in general is that we KNOW that GM folks read it - hence although folks may seem to be over-reacting a wee bit - I think this is a case of folks wanting to make sure they give feedback

thank god i have my car how it is now. Those tail lights are disgusting and the side mirrors are even worse. They distract from the natural flow of the car.
