just filled up today & reset the numbers...26.0 mpg, avg speed was 38.something...about 85% of my driving is highway to & from work

I can get 32mpg on hwy at 70 with cruz and flat ground,but make one stop and it drops. I am averaging 24.6 with 70% hwy and 30% city, but I like to play on the back roads too.11,000 miles on car. got it 5-2009.

2500 miles on the car, reset the average fuel economy a week and a half ago, with 70% city and 30% hwy driving , I was averaging 19.7 mpg.

Installed an Injen Short Ram CAI earlier this week and reset the average fuel economy, with the same driving as above, now i get 21.7 mpg.

I usually get between 300-310 in a full tank.

I'm getting between 18-19 70/30 city/highway. And I drive it in the zero-speed limit(ish) style. Try to hit the speed limit before the first sign

21-22 around town. 28 on the highway with cruise control after I reset my MPG counter.

so my math comes out to 27.406 mpg

I also ran the whole time trying to keep it around 2k RPM.
On the highway that meant I was in 6th and doing 71mph with cruise control.

This next tank I am upping the RPM's to 2.2k...will see what happens.

Next tankfull...
2.2k rpms on the highway @75mph
Mileage....412.5
Avg Speed..48.8
Avg MPG....25.8

Fill up (at same station and pump) 15.565 gallons = 26.5 mpg
Again on 89 octane.

This next tank will be NO CRUISE CONTROL, just going with the flow of traffic.See what happens.

Total miles on car at fill up...3177

i am similar to you also.. 21 around town..on hwy reset..55mph..for 10miles got 31mpg and climbing..before end of road came..

content with that..

21 mpg avg. 80% Hwy 1600 miles , K&n cai. Still better than Silverado.

Still stuck around 18, 100% stop and go city driving, with a lead foot. With another lead foot pushing on that foot. I am the fastest to the speed limit EVER

Just returned from a Color Tour. My last tank we filled up and drove appx 160 miles on a 2 lane highway. Avg speed was 53.2 mph, avg MPG......34.6!!
Once we got to the Interstate and home MPG's dropped to 31.8.

That was a 300 mile run!

I am averaging 14 mpg in town and 21 tops on the higway. I am not a lead foot, does anyone have any ideas on what I should do about it? I love my car but this is killing my wallet. Please I am looking for any advice. :(

I have the manual and I drive 60+ miles one way to work and I have over 39K on my V6. I tend to put my foot in yet because I love the feel of the power but I've been averaging 24 to 26 depends how heavy of a foot I have. I'm running Mid-Grade fuel. The biggest thing I noticed and I can get about 28/29 if I remember to shift right before 2000 RPMs. Try that and see what you get.

P.S. on the highway I've been averaging 75 MPH.
