If you use stock manifolds with 6 bolt heads, the manifolds have to be modified to work. Otherwise:

No one has tested this kit with shorty headers that I know of, but here is my reply to a similar question:

With turbos, you don't want to dissipate too much heat. The stock LS3 manifolds flow very well.

That being said, you can use custom shorty headers but I am not sure the cost to benefit ratio would be worth it. I don't know if any off the shelf shorty headers will work. Unless you are going for a true max effort turbo build, stock manifolds are more than sufficient for 99.9% of the turbo builds on here.

You could always use your manifolds and then, if you aren't happy with the results, invest in a set of shorties.

I would think that AGP would offer an option of shorties if they thought it was worth it but again, they aren't necessarily marketing this towards the hardcore, every HP must be maximized, every thousandth counts crowd.

Andy@ADM is using ARH shorty headers. They work fine. I don't see any reason to spend the money because you can make 1000+ easy enough with stock manifolds but it is your money, do what you want. Their are better areas to spend money on like rear end, clutch, meth, etc.

Yes, agreed. Most don't optimize turbo set-ups fully as it is easier to turn up the boost a little bit.
Not sure how well regular headers will live on a street car that get's worked though. The cast manifolds aren't designed for turbo either, but they are free.
The thing about the manifolds is that I have never seen a factory car put the turbos so low. There has to be a few good reasons for that.

My ADM built TT ZL1 using this AGP kit just went 201.9 at the Texas Mile. Through a 6L90 with stock converter & LS9 cam.

Did it work well? What were the IAT's? If it worked good over 1 mile, should be pretty decent overall.
It will certainly help response over an A_A kit.
