NHRA Buckeye Fuel Wars: July 23 - 25
If anyone was planning to attend the NHRA Buckeye Fuel Wars on July 23 - 25 I have some free tickets. Each ticket will allow entry for one day and includes a pit pass. The only thing you have to pay for is parking ($5). The tickets didn't cost me anything so they are free to anyone who is serious in attending. I will drop them in the mail if you send me a PM with your address and how many you need. First come first served.

Keith from Clear Bra Ohio just did my clear bra, and man am I happy!! Full front bumper, 24' hood protection, headlights and foglights, side mirrors, door edge guards and side gills are protected. It looks great, I wasn't even expecting it to look this good.

How much do they cost? Is a pretty good investment?

Depends who you ask...
It depends on how much you get done. It's expensive but some swear by it. I'm not onboard with it though. They are very noticeable... I don't care what anyone says, they are. There are always areas where it peals and turns yellow. I've yet to see one that looks perfect. BUT, like I said, some swear by them. My car is 2 years old and has 25K on it and looks fine. Sure, there is a chip or two but whatever, it's a car. It's not any worse than my 2007 Corvette was when I sold it. Chips happen. The "clear" bra is a good way to protect the paint I guess. |

I think it was an excellent investment. My car has no chips on the front facia or the gills. I think it is barely noticeable. I do agree with jr that they will begin to yellow with age, but I've heard of many folks who say they've gotten 10 years out of theirs. I had mine put on about a year and a half ago and it still looks great.
You do have to take care of them. They need to be polished on occasion and waxed. You take care of it just like you would your paint. That really helps to keep it looking new. Also, you have to be careful not to get wax on the edges of the clear bra. It's tedious to remove it if you do. I'm just careful not to wax up to the edge. |
