Never experienced that, but I also always fill the oil filter to the top with oil before I screw it in.

Using Valvoline VR1 syn 20-50! Litle I've talked to u before! Had problems and it ended up being the plugs! I also filled the filter but went with a Mobil1 filter instead of the AC Delco that I've been using! Wonder if the plugs need changing again! Been almost 5000 miles!
I do have a 416 stroker!
Been trying to get some of the plug wires u suggested, just haven't gotten to it yet!

Nope just changed the plugs! Haven't had time to shop around for wires!
You reckon I could have another fouled plug? The others only lasted around 5000 miles since the build!

Not sure, what plugs are you using and what are they gapped at?

Do you know what they are gapped at though? And why the Mobil 1 over the AC Delco filter? I actually did the opposite of you; I did research and found out the AC Delco filter has a better drain back system than about 75% of the filters that are offered for the LS3/L99s.

Can't remember what they were gapped at out of the box!
As far as the filter it was on sale and wanted to try it out!
I did notice though, that with the AC Delco filter the oil pressure stayed pretty high, with the Mobil 1, it drops at idle then goes up as you start accelerating!

Hey guys, I had my Heater Core replaced last week, but I am still smelling the faint smell of coolant from time to time when I turn my heat/defroster on. Obviously I know the coolant smell isn't going to go away immediately, it's going to take a while, but how long should I wait before I take it back to the dealer and get a follow up?

Your not gonna break it, what's your compression? I would have gotten some Tr6's gapped at ~.35

I really have no idea what the compression is! Been going with the TR55's because that is what Vengeance installed!
Do do you think I should try the TR6's?

Yes, it a step colder. See with a stroker you increase your compression because there is more volume, more compression. I have you at 11.5-1 with untouched heads, stock GM gaskets and flat top pistons with no valve reliefs or anything. I'm not sure of your setup but that's what I got. You should of been on tr6's from the get go IMHO.

Try them and some MSD's.

Hey guys!! I just finished the intake manifold install!! It took about 2 hours and honestly, if I had known it was this easy, I would have done it a long time ago. Anyway, everything is connected, bolted, and plugged in. My torque wrench can only go as low as 120 inch pounds so I couldn't for sure torque down to 44 and then 89. But I followed the sequence and I went a little more than just snug...since 44 and 89 are pretty light anyway. So before I start this thing up, is there anything I should know or do that maybe I haven't thought of? Any last minute recommendations on a good way to torque? Is it even absolutely necessary? Thanks guys!!
