Screw looking at the bottom line... determine how much utility you'll personally realize with either purchase. THAT is what matters

What is the best supercharger for max hp on a stock engine?

The resulting numbers vary greatly for some reason.

SLP stage 1
E-Power
Procharger
Whipple

The slp stage three looks good, but it's almost $11,000 with tax.

The best supercharger setup? This one, of course:

Larry, is that with all the parts and upgraded internals? Or is that just for the super charger itself?

There are so many mechanical losses shown there...the benefits are being lost.

That's with the charger, tuner, long headers high flow cats, and valvetrain.

What my goal is, would be to leave the car as stock as possible, go with about $7K for a charger kit that will yield me the most power for that money. I would like to see around 550 at the tires.

My goal may be impossible at that price point though?

Well nothing matters anymore, the Decepticon invasion has begun.. figures they would start with Russia..

I imagine 7k will be cutting it close for around 550 at the wheels without other supporting mods, but may possible if you find the right deal on the charger unit/kit.

I just called and spoke to SLP, the stage 1 kit is 575 flywheel, 500 at the wheels for $6800 or if I bring the car to them, $7620 out the door and installed.

The stage 2 kit is 530 at the wheels, and installed price with tax is $11500.

The stage 3 kit bumps you to $13145 installed, adding only the long tube headers over the stage 2.

Stage 1 offers an $800 3yr/36,000 mile parts only drivetrain warranty. No warranty for stage 2/3

For more strip go ProCharger or a Vortec from ECS. For StripStreet Strip go Whipple or go the no respect TVS. Running a Modified Eforce at avg 8.5 boost Mid 650's RWHP with a best 10.78 on Drag Radials. More than enough fun on the Street,

With no doubt, the Edelbrock E-Force is most factory looking. The TVS IS the most "hot rod" looking, and the centrifugal chargers are the least impressive of the lot to look at.

The Edelbrock appears to get you into the 470-490 area on a stock car. I just can't imagine that power being all so fun in such a huge and heavy car.

What does an E-Force give with headers, high flow cats and cat back system? Anyone know?
