I'll be there for tonight's show and listen (to a nice v6 corsa exaust hopefully). I should be able to leave columbus at 6:30 or so and get there at 7:30 or so. I'm going to pull in nose first since I'm sure like last time I'll have all sorts of dead bugs on my nose/windshield.

Sorry I missed tonight guys, but me and DIABOLI had ourelves a day.

The last of the Zaino came in thursday so I picked up the rest of my stuff and took today off.

I got the badges off the side and back. I took the trim off from around the tail lights. Wow what a different look. Course it ended up taking like 3 hours.

I got the first wash, Clay-bar, second wash and the ZAIO on, let it cure and wiped off. I fell in love all over again. She looks incredible.

That took till 8:30. Then my oldest and I went for a run.

Tomorrow, after a trip the the grocery store, it will be a Z-6, Z-5, Z-6, Z-2 kinda day.

(if my arms don't drop off!!!)

Told ya you'd love the Zaino! The humidity may slow you down a bit today but it'll still be fun. Sounds like you're turning Diaboli into a stealthmobile :-)

Very cool! I hope to be able to attend next week. The car should be here soon. It let Oshawa the day it was built and is cleared for shipping from Dearborne, MI railyard so all it needs to do is catch a few hundred mile ride by truck to Cinci and then hes all mine. My guess is a late monday dealer delivery and then I shold get it by Wednesday. This could change but this is my guess. If i get him by Friday I will try to swing up. Hopoefully there will be nice weather and a good turn out.

Thats a lot to do in one day! Hope you have some help! I think I am going to put in my order today.

Car was built Wednesday 8/5, probably painted a few days prior. When is it safe to wax? My wife is wigging and saying we need to wait a month. I think that is

. Any thoughts? I would like to give him the full monty right away.

No need to wait any more with modern paints. I drove Merlin home and we did the complete Zaino treatment before I took him out on the road at all. Now the bugs slide right off and cleaning him up for a cruise-in takes no time at all.

Hope to see you next Friday night - I was able to save two spots last night so EarliestMemory, myself, and bartking all got to park together. Watch for posts towards the end of the week to see who will be heading out.

And be sure to let us know when your ride arrives!

well, this morning i took my oldest and me out to breakfast then the commissary, didn't get home till noon.

i hit the Z-6, then the Z-5 w/ZFX however, at this point the story turns.

After the the Z-5 dried for two hours i saw swirl/rub marks from the application. Appearantly it hadn't set. Maybe the humidity, not certain. :(

So I mowed the front lawn and let it dry more. Buffed it off again,.... and again,.... it took a long time,.... TICK,... TOCK,..... at 6 tonight I hit her up with the Z-6 and, put her up for tonight. (Then mowed the back yard)

I am thinking that leaving it to really set, will help. Tomorrow I will apply the Z-2, more Z-6, then use the Z-CS.

IF,... I survive the run with my oldest tomorrow morning at 7am. It's supposed to be a 12 miler.

I REFUSE to use Zaino on a dark car... and this is EXACTLY why. I used it once on my 2004 RX~8 (black) and i had to work so hard at it I swore off Zaino. The smudges come off with Z6. What alos help is to wash it when you are done, then Z6 it. Its just so much damn work on dark colors... but the end result is awesome on the dark cars.

Super fun little car but they don't fair so well when they tangle with a box truck! Luckily she was parked so no one was hurt. No pics of the aftermath. Got the C6 afterwards. She's gone now too, sold about a month ago.
