I don't think many would say they want a Camaro because it's more "adult", most probably want it to stave off feeling like an adult. Me included.

I can see where your coming from most deffinatly, but to someone that comes from the "fast and furious" generation. Driving around in a $32,000 v6 or 8 and not a 95 Honda Civic (I dont own one) has the opposite effect on me then it would with someone whos 35, if that makes sense?¿

I never thought in my entire life that I would be so mesmerized by an american made car. Don't get me wrong I absolutely love the old muscle but have fallen out of love with the big three and have become completely a foreign automotive supporter, all my cars except one have been foreign.
My change in attitude however, started when I started seeing the new chevy camaro concept gracing the covers of magazines, then I read about it going to production and I stumbled across several pictures online and thats when it hit me....I had to see this car in person. I called several chevy dealerships shocked that I wanted to see an American car so bad....when I finally located one in a showroom I went over immediately to see it and truly became speechless. It put to shame all the foreign sporty cars that honda, hyundai, toyota etc could make.
Today marked the day the day that my husband and I switched from foreign to American with our down payment on a 2010 Chevy Camaro 2SS in Aqua. Chevy's turnin heads with this car and I hope it will bring foreign car lovers to the American side like it did for me. I hope the glory days return for American automotive and I can truly see what I have been missing out on. The more fans we can bring to the American Automotives the better and Chevy hit a home run on this one I feel.

Howdy everyone. My name is Andy, I'm 44 and live in Atlanta. I've owned a 1981 black w/ gold stripe Z28, a 1988 red IROC-Z (Yes, it was stolen out of my backyard by a pimp, long story), and a 1989 ultra blue metallic V8 RS.

I am working on buying a new 2010 black w/ tan interior 2LT and plan on customizing it to look like a 1967 Gorries Panther with some after-market gold stripes and emblems.... as soon as I can pay off 2-3 credit cards to afford monthly car payments again. Hopefully I will be back in black by the end of the year.

I've been just a "reading" member for months now so thought I'd introduce myself.

My name is Dana, 27 years old and live in Colorado. I have been a Camaro fan since way back when. I remember at 16 car shopping with my dad and coming across a 1st gen. I wanted it so bad but my dad heard the word NOS and immediately said no even after telling him I'd never do anything with it.
Years ago I talked with my grandfather about restoring one together and thought it would be an easy task since he worked for GM for 25 years before passing on. He had no such luck finding one. Well, now here's the chance and he would be dang proud if he knew.
On order - IBM 2SS/RS. I can't wait for the day until it gets here! I'm so excited for everyone that has theirs!
This is an amazing site and have learned a lot of things from it. Thank you for maintaining an awesome place for Camaro Lovers!
