This thursday there is another car cruise in at Duffys off of Boyson Rd. Starts at 5.
It was neat to see it in person. It fit like a glove.

Mmm, cams! Night Fury is awesome and I will be making the jump within the next year. I'm indecisive between the NFC or the JRE 480. They are very similar cam grinds from what I can tell.

Jason, yeah I have looked at the NFC and JRE blower rough idle cam (just incase if I ever get a SC)

Todd, so what are you all getting down out there?

Thanks for the compliment.

As for the 92, there was no noise and the clutch works fine. It's got to be the keys in the 3-4 synchronizer. I need to decide if i'm going to fix it or wait and do a LS1/t56 swap.

The NF cam is blower friendly as well. I really don't think you can go wrong with either one.

Pulling those T-5 transmissions is a piece of cake. I know cause I did it 3 times in the 86 IROC I had. Quiet possibly the easiest trans pull I have ever done.

Come on. Why did I decide to listen to this.

Might make the wife a deal. Buy the parts one year and install it the next year so I'm not dropping $5000+ all at once. Guess thats not really a deal though.

True, I've had mine out once for the same issue and a new CF/DF clutch. I am at the point with this car I don't want to put any more $$ into stock parts. I want to replace/upgeade anything that is not part of the "final plan". I am going to pull it either way and get an estimate. Ill fix it before it stops me from autoX next year!

Its great to make changes to make a car faster, but very bad for consistency. Fortunately I've got enough seat time to hopefully adjust on the fly. Got nocked down to 4th in my series last time by opponent that ran great, me out due to BS.

Biggest goal for the weekend-shatter the top 20 for my mods in Auto-number 2 in 1/8. Need to run it out and crush the 1/4. Hope to drop 0.2s. If the weather was as good as the number one spot (-600DA)- I could break the next lower second -kickin many running converters.
I'm real excited , the car feels so strong. Its amazing how a well oil machine can out perform a higher hp car. If I dont, may try once more before snow.

Todd
-hope to hear about your ancient chineese secret car work -hehe, when I get back.

Ill try to relay during the show, but signal normally bad.
Should be live on Lsxtv-car 803
Good luck Tim!

Lol, I watched that one too. That sounds like a good deal to me. But then again I am single.

Just reviewed the log-hit rev limiter on 3-4 shift and shut throttle plate,
sooooo - there's more in it ( and DA wasn't even spectacular at 1600).

I could see breaking into 11s.

May get another chance tommorrow morning.
Nice Tim!!! That would be awesome to get down to the 11s.
