I'm still in 1st place... 5 points out in front. It's going to be real close and come down to the last event. Just the way every event has been through this season. I expect the difference between 1st and second place will be separated by 1 point when the season is complete. Unless I can pull off 1 more 1st place finish, I will wind up in second place, behind by 1 point,based on how we have been finishing the last 4 events. It's not over yet, though. I could tie Jason for first, or someone could break, or miss an event. The biggest thing that I could hope for to be a game changer would be a rain event - I did VERY WELL last year at a rain event with my car on the street tires last year. I have lots of experiance driving fast in adverse weather conditions. I'm loving the competition..it wouldn't be as much fun if it was just a walk in the park. |

Here are a couple of Pics of my latest project I have been working on for the last month.
I was playing with my Mig welder and got carried away... this table weighs 500 lbs so I had to put it on wheels. It is a fabrication/welding table. The top measures 3'X4' and is 1/2" thick. It has T-slots cut in it for clamping things to it. It is extremely flat, to build things upon it. Wait till you see what I plan to use this for...

It is going to come in handy soon.
I just ordered a vertical end mill. Tig welder and a band saw are next. And then a boatload of 1 5/8 CM round tube. ![]() I am thinking I am going to build something like this.. I am still in the planning stage. Picture a C5 or C6 vette reworked so it fits underneath a Miata. It would weigh around 1800 LBS when done and be 600+ HP. |
