The max I've ever gotten before adding a CAI was 28mpg on the highway. When I added the CAI I got up to 29.5mpg on the highway. When I dropped the stock samsonite exhaust for the Pypebombs I saw the highway miles go up to 33mpg. Never really measure the city mileage.

Last week I made a 550 mile trip to my parents house and averaged 26 mpg driving mostly highway speed. On the return trip, I reset the DIC and averaged 28.5 mpg going through the same roads. I'm not sure if it had any effect, but I added a bottle of this stuff to the tank on the return trip:

Or maybe it's because I also waxed the car right before the return trip...

I haven't hand calc'd anything, so my numbers aren't too accurate, but FWIW, my car averages 21-22 according to the computer, all metro driving, with some freeway mixed in and plenty of stoplights, the car is my wife's DD. I get a bit less than that in town, high teens when I drive, but I don't baby it. The other day I ran about 15 miles mixed urban driving trying to keep my RPM under 2K and the dash read 27-28 MPG running 45-50 with stoplights every few miles. Constant 45-50 was low to mid 30's. Running on the highway at 65+ shows mid 20's on the dash. This is with approx 1500 on the odo, not fully broke in yet...

When I get the chance to do a road trip I'll hand calculate and see what I get.

Did you up the PSI yourself, or was it the weather? Have you continued having the better MPG?

I just got my Camaro out of hibernation. I had it stored with 45 PSI. I dropped the tires to my normal 35 the day I got it out.

Checking a couple days later (when cold) it was now 38. So I ran it this way into working checking the MPG's.

I have dropped it back down to my normal 35 and will be checking again this week to see if I can repeat the good MPG's

I will experiment with this for another week or two and see what happens.

I filled up on Monday. In the City I normally sit at around 17mpg. For kicks I've been driving around like a "wimp". Not sure if that's the right word but Wuss, Wussy and Grandpa didn't fit at all.

Anyway, I've been very easy on accelerator. I tried to keep her under 2K rpm. Coasted as much as possible. Stopped as little as possible.

I got her up to a max of 19.9 as I rolled into my parking spot last night.

So after all the wimping around driving like a grandpa........you have to ask yourself did you have any fun.........or is it better to get 2.9 mpg less and have the time of your life........

I got my '11 2LT in Sept and now have about 9K miles and have been ave. about 22 mpg on both city and highway. I don't baby it, but the mpg is disappointing to me. I would say breakin period should be over.LOL

This summer(as of today when I get her out of storage) when I gas up I will be writing down the mileage & fuel bought at every fill up..This will give a more accurate MPG than the DIC reports....

Same here since day 1 ~28k miles worth: http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showpo...48&postcount=5

Other than for record keeping, I don't know why I continue to track this. The MPG spit out by the computer is usually +/- .2 of where I hand calculate it.

I don't have my gas receipts but I have every other receipt, and a few more spreadsheets going on many things to keep track of for my Camaro.
