The really funny part is how inaccurate the math is on this poll! That's actually over 41% of people that like them!

I like-em. My dad came from a generation of chop-top 50 mercury's with suicide doors and blue-dot tail lights. It's called customization.

I have never seen these on any car other than a couple of special edition corvettes at a vette show and they looked great.

The only thing I see as "Played out" is the infamous picture stating that they are not even used on lamborghinis any more (which is not true), which seems to be every 4th post in this forum. That, I believe, is the definition of "Played out".

And for those who posted "Rice" or "Ricemaro", um, vertical doors originated and ARE STILL used on the Lamborghini which is a distictively Italian car. Not sure there is a lot of Rice coming out of Italy.

Anyway, dare to be different. As a matter of fact I think the fact that so many people have violently objected here has made up my mind to do it.

I may HAVE to get them. The vertical doors can actually open and close normally. The 2010 Camaro has a huge door span. The underground parking where I work is so narrow, there's no way the doors can open. Pop them open a foot, then raise them... that'll work. I'll find out for sure my first trip in to work after he arrives.

Don't care for them, but to each his own. Two points to consider. One: will it increase or decrease the value of the car? I think decrease. Two if you decide to sell it or trade will it decrease your market? Again I think decrease.

well couldnt you open it both ways, vertical and normal?
I wouldnt mind doing it...
Think about it this way, if i was to go to camaro meet ups, or more serious shows like i do all summer, i would open it normally. But if i was to go to the meet ups with friends and tuner cars and what not, i would pop em up. Im 18 so i have 2 crowds to attend to.
Not saying im going to do it, but it is versitile if you know what i mean.
Its not played out but its getting kinda ol' now
Still kudos to those who have them and you dont need to defend them. Customizing your car is what its about.
If i saw it in person, and it blew MY mind away, i would do it for MYSELF lol
