I heard the same - but I'm covered because Clint hooked me up with Genuine GM exhaust gaskets. Clint is da man. He even let me borrow his damper install tool cause I couldn't find a long M16-threaded bolt or piece of all-thread. I went to his shop yesterday - if you get a chance, you gotta go check out some of the Gen5 Camaro's he's got there that he's working on! He's built some serious screamers. I can't wait to drive my car after he's done tuning her!

Sounds like you got everything covered then. Hey is that a brindle Old English Mastiff you have? It's hard to see but looks like one.

Man...I can't wait for CO summer weather again!

Sam,
Thanks.
Couldn't agree more on the cats. No emissions for the first 4 years, and then no plans for e-tests down in my neck of the woods as of right now, so we'll see. Ain't nothing that can't be bolted back on in an hour to make it look legit. I have at least two more years to devise a plan...not even worried about it...and after seeing the air in this %%$hole of the universe, my car's tailpipes are the least of this planet's problems!! Until you experience the daily smoke and feces-impregnated-cut-it-with-a-knife air in AFG, you have nothing to bitch about when it comes to air quality. The brown cloud in Denver is nothing more than a thin light mountain haze...lol

You will see that the club has a pretty good showing at the Golden Cruise each month!! Garth is the man who likes to organize alot of the get-togethers for us. We generally tend to set up in front, and all around the Peerless Tire store at the top of Golden Road. We have lots of members from North of Denver, Denver itself and those of us poor ba$tards that live south ( in my case east of Colorado Springs), but it's well worth the drive.
It'll be tough to organize a cruise into Golden cause it's first come, first serve for those parking spots. I've seen people show up at 10 AM to snag a spot and hang out and eat lunch...crazy!!
Bring a camera, a comfy chair and lots of big-fish stories for all the on-lookers. There's something there for everybody. I'm hoping to make it to the Detroit Dreamcruise this year as well, assuming I get all my Camaro side projects completed..and don't break anything in INDY the first week of Aug.
Rob

The "club" would be Camaro Club of the Rockies. Check out the membership page on Facebook. There you can get more club info\meets\ etc. and chit chat and maybe talk a bit more smack without a moderator suspending your account, like some have experienced here.
Love the Chevelle by the way...it's just one year too late, or too early. lol

How is the car running ? I bet it can be a handfull at times . You need to check FB and check out the Sturgis Camaro Rally and the end of June , alot of people are planning on going . Your car would be a great addition to the trip .

Long time no post my fellow Southern Colorado Camaro owner. The local vette club has been trying to get me and some other Camaro owners to meet up with them. The also have a few mopars an mustangs that are showing up. 1st Monday of the month at 7pm and a few other times at random. I am sure that silver bullet vette eater of yours would be a hit.

Got the cam, dual valve springs, trunion upgrade, and exhaust installed and done!! Here's a video of the first fire up with the Texas Speed 1 7/8" LT's just open after the collectors. You can definitely hear the cam as I walk around. Sorry about the poor audio quality in the beginning of the video. I think the sound just pegged out the audio input gain on the camera.

Many thanks to Clint (who will be tuning my car on Friday) for his guidance and for enduring the numerous calls with questions!! I was actually under the car trying to guide the dipstick tube back in when I asked Louie to call you for me for help!! Good luck in Vegas!!

Sam

Car sounds good. Is that open header ? Hard to believe you'll pass the e test with that sound. . Once the idle is brought up from the stock 550 rpms it wil sound more crisp.

Thx for the message. No need for luck. I'm out here for my business trip that happens twice a year, ill be back in a few days. My. Brother is in the shop while I'm gone. Not to mention the new expensive security system installed . Keeping all cars nice and safe . Sam I'll call tomorrow. Car sounds good . Clint
