It is very smooth.It does get a little sluggish if I have too many apps open at one time but you can close your background apps. Sound quality is great.( I installed 4 JBL Speakers and an amp)
No Distortion. You can adjust the sound on the unit, or you can install a diff EQ app from the app store.

also, does it utilize the factory aux/usb ports from the center console or would i have to mod that to work

You need to take the factory USB/AUX out and replace it with this. That's what Im using now.

This kit looks better than the original one. If they could only go back and fix the faceplate.

Ok so do I need the DVR001 for an extra 32.00 or OBD2 and BT connect for a extra 45.00 or the 3G modem for a extra 35.00 when I order this radio?

If you get the 3G modem keep in mind you'll have to get a monthly data plan for it.

Not sure about the DVR001 and depends on what you want to do with the unit. It does have a WiFi antenna so u can use a hotspot or mifi device like I do from Verizon. If you want to use Torque, you do need the OBD2 and BT module. Of course things may have changed with the 4.0 system, I am running 2.3.4.
