I'm thinking this is a great way to stay accountable. Went to the doctor today, down 5 pounds, but better, my clothes are more loose. Had 1/2 sweet potato, salad and 3 oz steak tonight! Went to the gym and did the 1 hour Bodypump class. Need to add in some walking, will do that tomorrow night. In the past, the gym has been so crowded right after the first of the year. Not so much this year. Wonder why????

Ok. The diet has begun. Well, the muscle building diet. I said I'd post up the work out and diet, but haven't had the chance....always something going on.

But, yesterday, I ate 2113 calories, 132g protein, 70.5g fat

Foods were:

Turkey sausage
100% whole wheat tortilla
Nuts
Rice Cake
Hummus
Med Bananna
Oikos Yogurt (Greek)
Kashi Go Lean crisp
1% Milk (1 cup)
Protein Shake

That was it for yesterday. Worked Shoulders and will eventually post up the workout routine.

Today I had 2110 calories, 137g protein, 63g fat

5 egg whites, 1 1/2 slices of cheese, two slices of whole wheat bread and a slice of bacon...creamer in the coffee

flax seed in yogurt, protein shake

1/2 cup cottage cheese

whole wheat tortilla with turkey sausage, bananna, nuts, rice cake, hummus, protein bar

Did tri's and bi's today tonight after work.

Dana is going to measure my arms, chest, legs, etc tomorrow to track progress.

We are canceling our old Golds gym membership tomorrow and are beginning a new membership at a new gym closer to the house that is newer and is actually well taken care of. We tried it out yesterday and it was great. So...we have a new gym we are going to. We've been meaning to do that for a long time.

And a gallon of water each day.

I'm so sore from the gym yesterday...
I weighed myself this morning and I'm down another 3 lbs since I got back from vacation.
Looks like I'm making progress...

Has anyone ever used this website? http://www.sparkpeople.com/

Last time I was on a diet I used it and it really came in handy for tracking what I ate. It's free to use so check it out... I like it better than similar sites that charge for the same thing.

Edit: Oh yeah... my user name is csterling over there...

Would you like a cupcake just because you're doing so well?

I completely forgot to post my loss this week. Even though I slacked off at the gym a little and didn't eat well one day, I stayed on track otherwise and still lost 2 pounds last week

I thought of all of you when a vendor just brought
a great big beautiful box of Godiva chocolates!

They were immediately removed from sight and smell
range Oh just one would have led to 2..and so
on

Thanks for keeping me on track

Loosing some fat off the love handles. Not much, but enough for me to notice.

Haha I probably could use a little ass kicking.

I'd give it a try before CFD get there

Thanks guys. My whole MO when it comes to doing anything is super excited about doing it, and therefore do it everyday for like 2 weeks, then it slowly the excitment gets drained and it now because a chore and eventually a job where I say (damn gotta go run again today). Then I'll take like 1 day off and say I need a day of rest and I'll start up tomorrow, then I skip the next day and the next and eventually I just quit by just giving up. Thats one of the one things I'm trying to work on, and currently am with the running, although its not getting easier. I think I honestly do need to start looking at the end result and the reaching the goal that I set for myself. I think somewhere in highdschool I lost a lot of motivation (somewhere around senior year) that I need to find again. I think I always thought my goal was "easy" (though I knew it wasn't but my brain was telling me it was), and since it's not easy its been discouraging me.

Anyways I just noticed that this is a NYR Weight loss thread (I thought I read it before as a NYR thread), and I'm not doing that (my mom would be pissed if I was). I'm actually doing a sort of NYR/Bucket List #1 item. So I'm going to stop posting in this thread, and leave with some good lucks to you guys as some of you guys seems to be making some great progress on your goals.

No one said it was easy, I wish I could convince you to keep at it just so you could be healthier, it does make for a better life but that's your decission so all is good. Don't worry I'll still hang around with you at the car shows in the area LOL. See ya in the spring.
