I have over 50K miles and I've been getting 23-24 mpg with 80-20%.... It's dropped off I think because VA just raised their speed limits.... ;-)

i have around 13K miles now. before i got my K&N intake i was getting like 19.9 mpg with average speed of 42 or so. with my intake im getting around 20.6 and im thrilled with that, i wasnt really expecting an increase. but i went on a mini vacation and on the way there i only averaged 23.6 mpg with almost all freeway. on the way back it did improve but its still only at 25 mpg. not the greatest but oh well i guess. the dead stop traffic through seattle didnt help im sure lol.
i didnt trade my Optima that got 33 mpg plus for nothing. ill take 6 less mpg for over double my hp. |

Just hit 1000 miles, hardly any highway (maybe 20% max); average speed limit in the city for me is somewhere around 40mph. With the 1000 miles I have, I'm averaging 23.8 mpgs.

Depending on how heavy my foot is on the gas pedal I am averaging about 23 mpg with 80% highway and 20% surface streets. Long hauls I average about 28-30 mpg. Mine has 7800 miles on it now.

My experience:
Plan to upgrade to a cai and axle back this summer. Interested to see how my mileage might improve, but concerned that I will like the sound so much that my right foot will prevail and I will see no mpg improvements.

I'm not sure if my new ram-air hood made the difference but; I drove from Lansing MI to Detroit today and got some impressive mileage. 29.4 on the way down and 31.2 on the way back.
I don't think I ever saw it do this well.

I installed an MRT 2.0 a couple of weeks ago and noticed a 2.5 mpg improvement to 29.5
If I keep my foot out of it. It's tough, though, because it sounds so good. My commute is 80% freeway. |

On the city this car isn't so good, but on the highway if you stay below 70 youll get close to 28.
