I'll show you at Houston, buddy boy. It's a pain and tedious, but with patience, effort and the right tools and materials, it's fairly simple.

on a note is brushed aluminum same as polished aluminum?
No, Brushed is a satin finish, and polished is polished. We will miss you, maybe the next time.

Thank you, he keeps asking me, and I told him he needs to talk to you. Teach him how to use your PC Polisher. I know you had problems with it in the beginning.

That is a great time to learn, as you will have no other distractions.

Randy, your engine cover looks nice! As far as the black car, check out the "Cosmetic Maintenance" thread on here. There is a lot of good info in there, that way you can have an idea of what Charlie is teaching you. There are other resources as well, Detailers Domain and Autotopia-car care, of course Adams and the Junkman also. Be prepared to spend some money on products, quality products that won't create swirls again are not cheap, and learn proper care of them. Also keep an eye out for sales and specials. I spent $550 on everything I just got, and I still could use more. Most of that was for the polishers, pads, and polishes. Start with the basics, wash buckets w/grit guards, wash mitts, drying towels, and detailing towels. Then add more and get the paint correction sfuff as your budget allows. Thursday was the first time I ever tried polishing a car and I only did the first polishing step. When you saw it Friday that was all that I had done to it, no second step, sealer, or wax.
Or you can learn to live with the paint as it is and just enjoy driving it, like I WAS doing, it's much easier and cheaper!

I would say that depends on what you are asking about....the metal itself is the same, just one has been polished and the other not. With the proper tools, technique, and effort you can make one the other. Polishing the brushed is much easier though. I wouldn't use any kind of polish or product that leaves a shine on the brushed. As far as general cleaning, should be the same. Most of the APCs (all purpose cleaners) for cars should work on either.
