Spoiler alert! The SS looses.
This is from a member over at SVTP forums, he works for Lethal Performance (a respected Mustang tuner):

"This is the same guy in CA. That night, the track was having equipment problems displaying 4-5 MPH higher than they should have. The car did run 12.70's, but it was really at ~110 mph."

Im not sure is both lanes had equipment problems

This means that the comparison was between 2010 models of all three pony/muscle cars, so don't nobody should suggest that the new Mustang powertrains had any influence on the results.

Go check them out at:

Looks like GM did well in the light duty truck and a few other segments, as well. Apparently, Gen5 Camaro owners, overall, are not too happy with their car as compared to the folks who bought Mustangs and Challengers last year. Don;t kill the messenger, it surprised me too.
Could it be because both the stang and challeneger are based off of platforms that are 4+ years old?

Good driving

But in all seriousness, I'm interested to see more results from you. Interestingly, I am considering buying a vr4 that you guys are working on right now for the current owner.

Are you guys going to re-dyno the SS on the same day back to back with the mustang when it is running 93?

That will be the only fair way in my opinion...

From the looks of it I wouldnt be surprised if the mustang dynos higher than the camaro with 93. It should pick up about 10hp would be my guess.

Red 98. Had a single kit on it, switching back to stock twins. Extremely low miles. I'm reconsidering now though because I have a little bit of a hard time trusting this guy. He seems somewhat shady. I was actually going to call the shop today and ask you guys a few questions about it.

The SS is currently twin-turboed so I don't think it would be very fair

Ok...

Stop the bickering.

It's easy to sit in the cheap seats and take shots from the back row....

If you don't like the tests or the results get out there and do your own.

Otherwise move on.

No body has anything to gain by lying here...

Not after investing 30K in a "dyno queen"

This is a good test. and in the end I think it will confirm that the two cars are neck and neck.... Driver mod will be the difference.

as it should be...
