I called the dealer and said I would not continue with this deal if the calls go unanswered and they have nothing to tell me, after that the manager acted as if I was his best friend. I told him I don't like my car sitting in a dangerous place like Newark and if he is taking unsold cars over mine his dealership will never get my business again or anyone I know.

Anyway, he said they get deliveries every day weekdays and weekends.

On a lighter note...congrats to everyone who has received theirs already. The pictures looked great, and I hope you enjoy breaking in that engine over the holiday weekend.

Congrats to the guys that have got your cars. Sure is nice seeing your pictures. I am sure there are going to be a lot more pictures soon. I just called and was told that my car has been delivered to interchange Sept 3 6:25pm. I hope this means it is on the truck and headed to my dealer. I sure hope to get that call next Wednesday or Thursday.

Nope interchange is just another stop or swiching trains you might have another week to go. It has to stop and empty the rail cart some where first then wait for the trucks to take it.

The last message from CSX says the rail car is empty and Camaro Tracking now says Available To Ship From Rail Yard and says Ship Via Truck. But I have learned in the last 2 weeks to never get your hopes up to high. I am 4 hours from Chicago, so hopefully next week. Fingers Crossed................

And it has been a whole week now for me, available to ship from rail-yard via truck. Just goes to show you the amount of thought that has gone into this shipping "scheme"... yes a scheme at this point. there really is no excuse for a car to sit and be waiting for a truck for one week. At some point it has to start costing GM more money to leave it untouched for a week instead of sending a partially full truck. I am beginning to grow impatient. If my car isn't to my dealer by tuesday "looking grim" i will be going on vacation for almost 2 weeks, unable to pick it up.

Hey guys, what is your plan for break in...
  • By the manual (baby it)??
  • Or drive it like you stole it??
I have been somewhere in between. Kind of babying it... but just can't keep stepping on it too.

I agree. Same exact problem. I already called GM, who in turn called my dealer and opened up a service ticket about this.
