What wax ?

What are you people using for a wax on your car. I want something that goes on by hand and comes off by hand. No buffers. No sprays. No silicone sprays but real wax. Anything you've learned about how to wax vinyl stripes like do or don't.
Thanks

Yep with it raining outside I decided not to go out. It's alright though. Just got more goodies from UPS for my cam swap.

I was originally using mcquiers but decided to try Adams Polishes wax and I will not be going back.

Tonight is the first carshow at Coral Ridge Mall in Coralville,IA. I think it runs from about 5pm to 9pm. Usually a pretty good showing and the weather should be perfect!

Hi all, so I just stopped by Karl's Chevrolet today to have a look around. First of all, to all that haven't seen the 2014 Camaro Karl's did for SEMA really should stop by to check it out in their show room. That is one nicely done vehicle!

To my main point, I scheduled an appointment to get my windows tinted. I want to go all the way around, but I can't decide how dark to go. I am deciding between 35% or 20%. I know anything on the front doors is illegal in IA, and anything greater than 50% anywhere is illegal in MN (where the car is registered). Which makes me lean towards 35%. However, I have seen plenty of cars tinted on the fronts here and 20% in general seems to look much better. So my question is would getting 20% increase my likelihood of being pulled over/ticketed moreso than 35%? Will 35% look plenty dark anyways, with my car being black w/black interior? I feel like it is the way to go, but i'm just worried i will get it back and be disappointed i didn't get it darker. Any input is appreciated!

Terminology seems to differ between window tint shops and law enforcement. The numbers seem to compliment themselves inversely. Iowa law states windows must allow 70% or greater of light transmittance for the front roll up windows. When you say anything greater than 50% is illegal in MN, I think you mean anything darker than 50% is illegal - and 50% is a very light tint. For me, the smaller the number, the darker the tint - example 5%, referred to as "Limo tint", allows only 5% of light transmittance.

So, given the states you operate in I think you need a tint as close to 50-70% as possible on your side roll up windows to avoid being hassled by LE. Given your dark interior color and the small windows on a Camaro the lighter tint would look good. You'll still fail a window tint meter test if applied, but that's the price for wanting tinted windows.

Maybe someone else can chime in here.

Local and most county mounties here don't really mess with it unless they have more than one reason to pull you over however most of al the state troopers love to hand out the $ 120.00 tickets ! Mine are 35% got pulled over last summer and the trooper just could not leave it alone about me replying that I knew it was illegal ut kept telling him im not removing it ill pay the fine but any way hope tjs helps !

My Camaro is Black and I went down 35% all around which is right at the legal threshold in the state. That percentage is dark enough. I'll post pics later.

Thanks! So were you pulled over BECAUSE of the tint, or another reason, and they just tacked on the tint ticket?

I've had mymy truck tinted for the 8 years I've had it and I was pulled over twice and ticketed by the same ISP officer. Other than that nothing except a comment while getting a speeding ticket a few years ago.
