Will meet you in Sierra Vista...

Anyone on the Northwest side of town can meet up behind the Wendy's on the NE corner of Thornydale and Orange Grove. We'll leave there at 2:30 and jump on I-10.
Let's give a nice send-off to some long-time club members and great friends!
Big Sis is still down for her next round of BLING. So far the project has not required a hammer, chisel, or rhino ramps. So, Buckeye and I will meet you all in Sierra Vista since we would be coming in the bread box on wheels (Honda Element). BTW, what is the name of the restaurant?

You should cruise down with us anyway. Your Element will be the honorary "Chase Vehicle". We'll put stickers all over the outside of it!

The restaurant is called Papa's 50's Diner. The address is 3500 Canyon de Flores, Sierra Vista, AZ 85650. Keep going straight as you enter town on Buffalo Soldier Trail and follow it around the south side of town until Rt 92. Turn right on 92, you'll see it on the left before you turn on Canyon de Flores.

+1 on the Specialists at Wetmore. Avoid the shop in SV. Don't forget a limo tint banner on the top part of the windshield. Prevents a lot of sun glare that the silly little visors miss. I would also clear bra as much as possible (within reason). I did the whole front end and front fenders, mirrors, 1/4 inch above the line on the doors, and the rear quarter panels. Zero chips or door scuffs since it was done in Dec 09.

Has anyone replaced the OnStar battery yet? My light is flashing red and when I called they said it needed to be replaced. I asked if I could just do it myself and oh no - I need to take it in they told me. Really?

Here is the battery on ebay, for $59.99. I read on other forums it costs $100.00 to replace at the dealer.

The Specialists on Wetmore is a great source for this as well. I can PM you the info for a discounted price if you're interested.

Enjoy the ride!
Bodih - can you PM that discount info to me please?

thanks!

I have not checked the forum in a couple of days and it seems like I have missed a ton. Welcome to the group Camarored97!!! I can also say that getting the clear bra installed is a great idea. I learned the hard way...$750 dollar front bumber repaint. :(

I will not be able to make the going away dinner on Sat. I will be in Delaware for the weekend. Will and Sam, if I don't see you before you head to Tx have a very safe move and just know that you will be missed!!! And definitely do not put a front license plate on that beautiful car!!!

So far, we have Armysig, BODIH, 40 years, copper3000, Gotroost, and Big Sis & Buckeye (in the cracker box) heading for the diner in Sierra Vista tonight. Anyone else planning to attend?
