I also swapped the body for a C2 Z28. (In short I traded it for three cars, a Corvette Z06r, a C2 Camaro Z28, and a Cadillac CTS Summer Performance package 3.6L DI with Aisin 6spd.)

Congrats again guys! Good to see some Gen 5's racking up some hardware!!

I won a trophy today myself, in autox, but I don't count it as a "win" since I was the only car racing in STU. lol! Was a good day though-- got my buddy with an S2000 into autox and made good friends with a guy from WC who runs a killer red Trans Am. Good learning experience today!!

Totally forgot about the show until I saw 3 Gen 5's on 275E, then I realized the show was going to be over soon and I probably wouldn't have made it in time.

I hope some people will hit up the Hubert car show next Sat. I'll definitely be making an appearance and would love to see some of those award-winning Camaros!

Hubert is my employer. They are hosting a Cruise-in for a Cure on Saturday from 11-4. Raising money for American Cancer Society. Costs $15 to exhibit, awards handed out at 4.

Thanks! I can see adding a pic of the rear. I'll see what I can fit in.

however since you asked for it, here are my thoughts:

From a “whats shared perspective”
-photo selection is good, although I’d sneak in a WIP picture of the back, maybe at the expense of the upper right. The upper right two could easily be swopped for something else simply because of the fact that that’s what your car looks like now, and so people see your actual car. If you don’t want a WIP picture of the back, then even a current picture of the back, or the opposite of the middle right?

Information wise:
Infos good, although I personally like when people have the tiny section that personalizes it… like where you say when and why you bought it, when, how and why you restored it, and any personal details. May not be appropriate for the specific car shows your going to, but I like it.

From a design perspective:
Of course if you did the whole thing on a computer I’d have a lot of recommendations, but since this is done with hard copy, it’s a little more difficult.

Are those pictures printed out on blue backboard? If so, I’d cut them out more so that the blue shows behind all of them… or put white on the backdrop so white shows through everywhere. Id also align the photos on the left to have equal spacing as those on the right.

if you went with a digital design I’d fade the images into eachother and fill a full border, or do a solid black border around each one with an interior fade, and then maybe a halo of your car behind the listed statistics. Color wise I’d probably stick to the colors of the car… Black, silver, maybe orange (engine block)- or in other words I’d scrap the blue.
Bee - Thanks for the comments!

Note this was a ROUGH design with quickly cutout pictures taped on. The blue you are seeing is the protective film on the plexiglass panels the final design will fit between. I know I needed to resize and better fit all the pictures. I was thinking of using black pinstriping to separate the pictures.

After I posted the draft pic, I had thought about putting a background image behind the text to make it more interesting. I was leaning towards using the pic from the upper right.

I like the idea of adding personal info.

Going back and reading what I typed, it didn't come out right. I didn't mean a shot of the back, I meant a pic from back in the 80s when you first got it. Maybe if you have a shot that includes something that would identify the era like big hair or something.

Sorry, I guess my reading comprehension sucks. Maybe it was Bumblebee suggesting a pic of the rear.

I don't have many pictures from years ago.

Here is a picture from my early days of owning the car. It shows the fiberglass L88 hood, American Racing CP-200 wheels, white letter tires and rear end jacked up with air shocks. I could see adding this pic to the display though the resolution sucks.

This picture is good except it has some good looking skinny guy blocking the front of the car.

This picture shows the Z-28 that ended up in 2nd place because of me. (This was before my car was restored.)

I don't have a pic from when I had long hair, mustache and beard.

Call for a TriState GM Performance Association Meeting. After talking with Lisa and Zach this evening, it may be time for a brain storming meeting. I saw this Friday we do a dinner and planning meeting. That will have given us all about a week to play with it and we can provide Brooks some feedback. Also I would like to talk about possible events next year.

I am okay with meeting at the Bcreek cruise in again and going out to dinner from there, or we can meet in the Wilmington Area to allow the southern folk to join us or head down to the West Chester area. This would also be open to those who haven't been part of this project yet but want to find out more and or get involved.

I am open to ideas of where to meet, lets just figure it out and make it happen. I would like to go public by the Mid Ohio Race as it would be a great promotional event.

Hey Kyle I'm definitely down for meeting again soon and agree that we should get things rolling for next year. I have a meeting for my cheerleading girls and parents this Friday so I'd be unable to attend or at least until probably 8 which is getting kind of late. Hope I can join in and help though so keep us posted on what ya'll decide! Hope you're havin' a great week!
