Also everyone, I just made a thread in the ACE5 section about posting your name. I'm horrible with names so I started the thread in hopes of making it easier for not only myself, but for new and old members alike getting to know each other.

I personally find it easier to remember someone if I know their name before I meet them!

So here's the thread: http://www.camaro5.com/forums/group....#gmessage42546

If y'all don't mind, please drop in and post your name. I know most of us know each other by first name in this thread, but like I said, hopefully it'll benefit everyone.

dunno if I'm gonna get it. I probably won't let it go for less though.

I mean the heads were over $2k alone, plus if you already have a 99-06 chevy truck, or a 98-02 camaro, this is a near turn-key 450whp solution. I wish someone had one of these for sale when I was in the market!

$3k will refill my savings. Then I can start saving for the turbo kit.

I'm not real sold on selling it.. if that makes any sense..

but having a stock camaro is killing me, and it's literally going to be a year or more before this thing goes into the belair..

whats more.. do I REALLY need a motor capable of up to 450whp in the belair? I love hotrods, but the belair isn't one. I'd be better off with a stock 5.3 if I wanted to go LSx in the belair.
By chance, do you have the fuel rails, injectors, ECM and wiring harness for it as well?

Okay. I would love to take it off your hands, but just can't do it right now. :(

I have a stock TB on the way and I'll have to buy some manifold bolts and a crank pulley seal for it since the shop tore up my other one.

It's missing fuel rails, injectors, and the oil pan/windage tray of the vehicle it needs to go in (if it's not a truck like it came out of) to be a "complete" motor.

I'm gonna take a better pic of the thing tonight. There's something sexy about a freshly rebuilt motor.

Again, I think it looks amazing. Took quite a while with jacking the car up, putting it on stand, taking the wheels off, cleaning them by hand, prepping the wheels and garage, spraying coats, waiting, spraying more coats, more waiting, letting them sit overnight, then remounting them and torquing them back down. But as soon as I got it back on the ground I KNEW it was worth it!

I have a 45th and have the Rennen RS-3 on them, they are tight in my opinion, Ill try to get a pic of my car with them to add but below is a link, just first one I found with pic, not recomending Carid. I got them for 225 each I think from Discount tire, they did a match on a price I found web crawling. They are excellent in the service side as well.

Welcome Rhyder! I'd love to see pics! I have no doubt they look incredible, they look great from that link you shared.

I personally just don't have $1,000+ to drop on rims, and THEN pay for tires. I really wish I could but it's a no go. :(

I will probably end up going with Corvette Grand Sport rims in flat black, 18s all around so I can rotate them. Both the rims and tires will be significantly cheaper than 20" rims and tires. My camaro is my DD, so going an economical-ish route works better for me.

I'll be paying about $170 a rim if all goes well. Hoping to pay under $1k for the rims and tires together. That's the plan at least, if nothing changes. And I won't be doing it until my current tires need replacing.

It'll probably look a little off until I lower it, but we'll see.

If your going 18" take a look at these...They were the ones I originally wanted but they didnt make them in 20's.....I saw some with tire comboes under google for just under 1k, (I just linked Tire rack cause you can do an overlay with them) didnt look to close so not sure what quality tires....but I think these would look hot on the 45th....

There was one I liked even better that didnt come in 20's that Ill look for, but they might be a bit pricy

Heres some that are better priced, Konig Illusion, again no 20's :(.

I like the black with red highlights, I did a boat load of research and looking once I decided black with red highlights is only reason Im remembering these particular ones.

I do have a question since everyone seems to be local or close to Atlanta.

I have an order in for Stainless Works headers and exhaust W/Cats. I will need a tune it seems, so was wanting to price having the headers/exhaust installed with tune, as well as the price for just the Tune, after I install the system. (figure if its not much more to have the tune and installation done why strugle with a street install even though the DIY videos look like its fairly straightforward)

Any recomendations for a shop to call to get this done? Wont be for a couple weeks probably, but would like to start calling if I can get some good recomendations on quality places.

Call Vengeance Racing, HPS Performance, or MTI Racing! These are our clubs preferred installers and performance shops.

Ehhhh, they're not too bad, but the fact that they're a universal type wheel makes me dislike them. Knowing there's a civic riding around with rims like mine sounds A LOT worse than knowing there's a corvette riding around with rims like mine.

Truth is, they look cool, I don't doubt it, but I don't think they're the best option for me. I guess I just want something a little more unique.

Plus, I don't want a tire/rim combo. Cause I'll probably be going with performance tires that I'll hunt down on my own. I've seen where I can get Goodyear Eagle Super Car F1 tires for $100 a piece. Hella deal if you ask me.

+1 for HPS, good guys to work with.
