Thanks you two. That helps a lot. I can't find snow tires on tirerack.com for the 20's.

Yeah just get some for the 19's and keep the 20's for your summer wheels/tires. I was tempted to get another set of 20's for winter but the tire selection was slim, even though for the 19's its also slim but they're much cheaper lol

Unfortunately you would need to pay a local installer to remove your wheels and install the sensors.

These are not available in sizes for the SS in 20 inch. The Pirelli Scorpion Winter has been the goto option. They are better in snow but don't handle quite as good in the dry.

Will the 19" OEM Camaro wheels fit my 2SS with the roller skates on the brakes?

Some 19's will work but I do not believe the factory ones clear the brakes. You can test fit one on the front. If the clear on the front the rears should be fine.

Was looking at these: http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....cleSearch=true

ALso, what offset is recommended - seems like there are a lot of options there.
I would consider an 18 inch package for your car. They work better in the snow and more tire options. I would recommend either the Blizzak DMV1 or the Pirelli Scorpion Winter in the 235/60R18 size.

I have a 2013 SS/RS currently running the stock Pirellis. I need to get something for some serious winter driving. Looking on TireRack, they dont appear to have any 20" tire and wheel packages for winter driving, it sounds like with the SS/RS I can safely run 19" tires and wheels over the brakes from what I have read.

With that being said, is there any reason not to go with something like:
Axis Sport XQ with Blizzak DM-V1 ??

I'd like to hear any reason why these won't work or why something else would be better for some serious snow driving. I have already PM'd Rudy for his opinion, he hasn't gotten back to me yet, so I figured I'd solicit other peoples opinions as well.

I responded to your PM. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Any snow tires will be miles better than the Pirellis. You'll be surprised by how well these cars get through the snow. It's almost time for me to put my snow tires on for the season. Figure once November hits and/or its solidly below 50 degrees they will be going on. Think I may even have to get a new set after this season. Gotta remember to rotate the tires often (square set up).

Just bought a winter set of 19s wheels and tires from TireRack.

Rudy,

Just bought the wife a 2015 2SS/RS with the 15% off promotion. So excited to have her in a LS3 car to match my SS!

Looking for winter tire and wheel combos. Narrowed it down to 2 choices on your site but not sure if they will fit properly because when I click on winter tire/wheel combos it keeps steering me towards tiny 235/60 tires?

My 2 choices are 19x9 O.Z. Cortina wheels with 275/45R/19 Bridgestone Blizzack LM-60 on all 4 corners or......

19x8.5 Alutec Monstr's with 255/50R/19 Dunlop SP Winter Sport 3D on all fours.

Are both good choices? Will both fit? Which is better?

Looking to order from tire rack in the next week or so. Thanks for your time!
