I am dissipointed myself, but the direction I want to take this don't make sence! When you look at all the money and hassle to run a m6 the way I want, it's just to much. Every time I go its a battle to run a decent 60ft or get a good launch, it ruins my day!

I probably shouldn't be that upset, but I know what this car would do with a th400! Not only easier to drive but much faster and easier on parts.


Yep, my bother won 3 NHRA national events in his Super Stock D Automatic, but didn't win any more events once he built a GT/A four speed car. Much more challenging to sort out a manual transmission car and then cut great lights.

I think Mike could do 11.9 with 3.91 and maybe that GTO reservoir mod to keep the clutch fluid from getting burnt up too fast.

With my 4.030 first gear my car already hits plenty hard but as noted it can be a spin fest.

I think so too, but what I am worried about is that it's not gonna be much different. Then I end up doing the swap any way, what the other issue is getting blocked out of second gear! It happens once or twice every outing, and always happens on my best launches! I have separate reso and change the fluid twice yesterday and still got blocked! I have to short shift 2nd at 5900 to even get into gear every pass, and I am sure that is hurting my ET as well.

Yeah that is tough and i know is an issue others are facing too.

just be glad you got your 10 second pass first! I think that is making it easier for you then if you hadn't gotten it.

John that's were I went last time. NLR is always prepped good, at lest it has when I have been there. The crowd is a little iffy sometime, but I haven't been disappointed with the track once. I would definitely get out there in fall and shoot for that 11 sec pass!

Looking into this th400 swap, sounds like this is a go! Might even do it before fall, have a feeling I might see mid 11s with this, then all I need is more power! Lol

I've not been to NLR in a few years but I was told to lock my truck and trailer when I go make a pass or you may lose some stuff.
I have no idea if thats true or not just what I was told.
