Went on a "break-in" road trip this past Saturday. The Texas weather was clear and beautiful with blue skies, so my wife and I decided to head out on a 400-mile run. Followed US 377 from Fort Worth all the way to Brownwood, then onto US 84 to Abilene for a late lunch at Joe Allen's Pit Bar-B-Que (AWESOME brisket!), then back home on I-20/I-30 to DFW.

Loved the ride, love the car. Great power and lots of fun. Can't wait for spring!

Here's the car at the old Santa Fe train station in Brownwood:

That is exactly what I want. I wished you could get those stripes from the factory. I want to find out how you got the bowties black also. I live in Ripley. That is 3 hours away so a little for for me to see. Thanks for the pics.

Search for blacked out bowtie here and you should find a bunch of posts about how to do it. I know you can buy them blacked out and replace the bowtie or add black vinyl to black it out.

Here is a link to a black powder coated front bowtie that replaces they gold one.

Ebay is also a good place to look, have lots of bowties and stripes for the new Camaro.

Not sure why you can't get the black stripes on a black car, probably because someone would have done it by accident...your dealer can order and install them but look around locally for a shop to do it, it may be a little less ,expensive. Search here, ebay. or the web and you'll find quite a few options for black stripes.

I feel I should point out that this thread is the reason I ordered black. The first set of pics on page 19 changed my mind for colors.

Awesome... I can't wait for it to warm up a bit in Georgia. I want to do a small town/back roads trip down to Savannah and back up to Atlanta.
Of course heading down to Valdosta in April is going to be awesome!
