Racing Brake brand 2-piece rotors also consistently run about 200 degrees cooler than OEM. Verified on High Plains Raceway road course with a club member last year. Amazingly, he didn't warp his rotors..... but the blue matched his paint pretty good

I use the same... It's a quality Dot 4 fluid - I use it on both the clutch and brake systems.

Although... if you ask Pete... he recommends the Castrol stuff that is BIG $$$ and only has a shelf life of 6 months. Probably really hard to get, as well.

Hey Mike, at the end of the long 130+ MPH straight, I turn the corner AT SPEED...

What fluid do you guys recommend when you flush the brake/clutch fluid.

Also, I'm thinking about adding the clutch res, if I do is there a better fluid for clutches or are brake and clutch fluid (hydraulic) the same?

Thanks!
This Ford Brake Fluid is what LPE told me to use for the brakes.

Good Brake Fluid brands/specifications link:

This link explains it well and has all 3 of the mentioned brake fluids covered....

http://www.timskelton.com/lightning/...rake_fluid.htm

Here's one site with a decent price on Motul RBF600: Haven't personally ordered from them though

I KNEW you guys would give me the right information.

Off to do some research... I've been playing with the idea of new brake rotors also....

May have to just pull the trigger while I'm doing all of it.

Hey guys, now that the guitar store is slowing down after christmas I finally got enough time to start on the rear bumper.
It's starting to look pretty good now.
Hopefully off to paint sometime next month??
I'm still waiting on a few parts to finish things on the front of the car.

What's the prize Jeff?

In June 2002, Motor Trend tested Lingenfelter's twin-turbo, 427/900hp '00 Corvette, setting the record for the quickest-accelerating tuner Corvette to date. Pitted against a U.S. Navy F/A-18, the Vette ran 9.24 seconds at 150.27 mph in the quarter-mile and posted a 0-60 time of 1.97 seconds.
