UGH I know! Was running high 24's and then my last run in the finals I hit 24.2, I think I had a 23.x in me.
I just wish there was more Autocross locally, at least with other Camaro's. Going to race it on a road course (MSR Houston) the end of this month, should be fun.

No worries. I understood their intent. Step one to a civil sport...understand each other. I get you guys and gals. Just want people to understand what it takes. Pete had to mail all that equipment from Indy to here. We unpacked/re packed it. So much behind the scenes. We went from around 15-20 volunteers to about 11-12. So errors can happen and we will strive to prevent them. Just work with us as they surface. You were great and gave the top drivers a run for their money. If you come to the next Fest we could use some more assistant drivers for novices.

Chris,
I think the HOUSCCA hosts sanctioned races each month at RPR on the same parking lot. Sometimes At the Police academy in North Houston which is a better track, they used to hold the SOLOII events at the GreyHound park first weekend each month, been awhile for me, havent been keeping up when I got out of it. I think you can google Houston region SCCA and find the calendar. I will go with you if you go. always on sundays, except divisionals. |

The best time to question your classification is during Tech or before you start running. The CamaroCross is all about having fun. We do our best to make sure that we deliver on that.
Here are the classes. C1 -- Stock V6: Any street licensed V6 5th Gen Camaro. We want to see more V-6's this year! CAI and/or Catback only, are allowed. No Headers, tune, engine, brake, or suspension modifications. No under 200 treadwear tires or drag radials. C2 -- Stock V8: Any street licensed V8 5th Gen Camaro. CAI and/or Catback only, are allowed. No Headers, tune, engine, brake, or suspension modifications. No under 200 treadwear tires or drag radials. C3 -- Modified: Any naturally aspirated street licensed 5th Gen Camaro (no nitrous). C4 -- Super Modified: Any force inducted street licensed IRS 5th Gen Camaro. Unlimited mods. Includes 1LE, ZL1 and 2014 Z/28. C5 -- Shop Car: Any Generation shop owned or non-street licensed car. Unlimited mods. http://www.camaro5fest.net/camarocross/ A normally aspirated V6 should have been in C3. |

Come on down to Corpus. We'd love to have you. We are a smaller club but have AutoX every full weekend of the month. Looks like June 7th and 8th for the next one. 30 bucks for SCCA members gets you both days. The course we are running right now favors us big V8s. Plus your buddy Ray will be there.
