Sorry if that appears anal. I'm just trying to compare the 1SS and the 2SS. Do I really need the 2SS upgrade. In San Diego I could care less about heated or cooled seats and steering wheel (well maybe the steering wheel after its been sitting in the sun, lol). It seems the one feature that is advantageous is the Side Blind Zone Alert.
steering wheel is only heated -- never used it, nor the heated seats and even if I lived up north I doubt I ever would.

Cooled seats are nice, but after 5 minutes you don't notice it, but it wouldn't be a deal killer for me.

Easy entry and exit is nice if you have bum knees, it was the first thing I noticed when testing a 1LE. The blind side and rear collision I guess depends on your driving. As for me my head turns and I use my mirrors as often as I look out the front, so again it's not a deal maker.

If you have an SO that complains of being cold then the dual AC controls are nice and they just look better.

Leather is a must for me, it's an appearance thing. I grew up with vinyl seats so cloth is kind of a step back.

The reverse tilt mirrors are nice if you back into parking spots a lot.

The dress-up items do look good and once you have them you really won't want to step back to a 1SS

Funny how cloth used to be the upcharge back in the day. Now it's the standard.

I never miss it because I can see everything in the mirrors. If that's all you want, I wouldn't buy the whole 2SS package for that. However I do plan to upgrade the sound system.

Yeah, vinyl was the cheap stuff but I always prefered it for the leather look.

Of course the cloth back then usually had a pattern like a fancy sofa and typically was upscale material. Cloth today is just cloth.

I'd have preferred the extra material on the doors, the upper and around the lower. I have added the knee and door pads from the 2ss and that does make it look a bit better.

The extra lighting looks neat too. I wish we could have added just pieces of the 2ss.

FYI, it looks like you can get a 2SS 1LE with a sunroof. I have an order in for one now. We'll see if GM kicks it back.

Am I missing something or they took away the 1LE option when trying to build a 2SS? I keep checking on the American website so that when pricing does appear, it will likely appear as well on Canadian website shortly after...

Dual zone climate.
Interior accent lighting, door sill lighting.
Upgraded Bose stereo.
Memory seats?
Leather knee bolsters.
It appears, possibly, sun/moon roof.
Maybe more?

This is the list of 2SS additional equipment from the Chevrolet.com site:
  • Heated/ventilated leather-appointed power 8-way driver and power 6-way front passenger seats
  • Dual-zone automatic climate control
  • Chevrolet MyLink† with 8-inch diagonal color touch-screen display
  • Bose® premium audio system
  • Frameless electrochromatic ISRV mirror
  • Illuminated sill plates
  • Interior spectrum lighting
  • Uplevel interior décor accents
  • Heated steering wheel
  • Head-Up Display
  • Electrochromic OSRV mirror
  • Side Blind Zone Alert and Rear Cross Traffic Alert
  • Rear Parking Assist
  • Wireless charging† pad
  • Memory driver seat and exterior mirrors
  • Summer-only performance tires†

Of course, the Head-Up Display and summer-only tires are also included with the 1SS when you add the 1LE option. Not only does the 2SS have the above additional features, but it also allows ticking off a few other options that the 1SS does not allow:

- Navigation
- Adrenaline Red/Ceramic White accent package

Not much really. Just waiting to see if the 1LE package will be cheaper on a 2SS. Since I'm entitled to supplier rebate, might as well wait it out and see if it'll be worth it. Either way, the plan is to order one after the holidays and start enjoying it next spring

You can only get black interior on a 1LE equipped 2SS.

The 2ss doesn't make any sense to me. Add weight to a "track car" . If i want amenities i would just buy a Cadillac cts-v.
