how's the sound? Did you noticed a more aggressive sound with the CAI then you did with a stock exhaust?

If you could switch CAI brands.. would you?

Thanks

I have the KN 69 typhoon version, I love the noises that the engine makes with the new intake. I don't know if it can really be called a CAI since it sits in the same spot as the spot intake but it definitely sucks in more air. I'll probably wrap the shield in foil for even better heat protection.

Installed my K&N after work today . It warmed up to 26 degrees out . I'm also thinking the previous owner had a CAI on the car and removed it before trading the car in . The MAF sensor was loose on the stock air intake .

You may want to shave the bottom piece of your engine cover so it doesn't run against the intake tube. I didn't on mine and rubber a little of the chrome off.

If you don't trim the cover it also rattles a little bit when you accelerate hard.

I have the CAI Intake. Definitely makes a "suction" noise when you step on the pedal rather hard. Other then that I can't say it changed the sound because I put it on at the same time as my exhaust. :(

So I really cant tell. Just go with the look u want under the hood, they provide very similar perfomance gains actually!

I've never heard anything but the rotofab so I can't really compare it to anything else but I've heard that rotofab is the loudest. I loved mine.

3. No.

I removed the big Roto-fab sticker...
I saw a Mustang that had an Air Raid cai, it had more of a factory look to it. I thought it looked pretty slick. You may want to check into that.

Most of these intakes draw air from below, however, and the washer bottle does block a large volume below the air box. Relocating it opens up a large airflow path.

The only intake mod I've done that required cutting was the air scoop.
