I would of liked to be able to buy a 2010 Z28 but it just wasn't made. So I got the 2SS RS. I'm very happy with the car, and certainly knew that a Z28 was most likely going to made as soon as GM seen what the 2010 Camaro success looked like.

I could probably swing getting a Z28, and still might, but the more I think about it, modifying my 2SS RS seems like a little more fun. It's part of the game. There will be stuff on the Z28 that people will want to mod.

And you can easily get into the low 12's with the 2010 2SS RS that should be cheaper, most certainly competitive, with the price of a Z28.

I'm glad they are coming out with one. Hopefully it'll kill the Shelby.

I love my SS and I'm sure that the folks that bought LS's and LT's love theirs too. Power is not the end all do all answer. When I lived in Germany the saying was "you don't have the fastest car on the autobahn". I do however, feel you pain just a tiny bit, as I am not well to do and will be making payments on my SS into my mid fifties and serious mods will be at least 3 to 4 years away. Will the Z28 bother me? Heck no! It will never be the fastest Camaro on the road and neither will mine - or yours.

I'm happy to be getting a Camaro, period. I don't care if one two years down the road has some more oomph. The Camaro's they make then will not be my Camaro.

I'm a little sentimental, though. I have happy dreams where I still own my first car.

Idk, im glad they're making a Z/28, wasnt the ZL-1 just a package added to the Irocs? Id rather see a whole new trim model than just a package...plus i mean come on, whats a Camaro without a Z/28? haha

Its like cerial without milk...peanut butter without jelly...or Andy Rooney with nothing to complain about! lmao

I don't know about the ZL1 and IROCs, but I do know that ZL1 was an engine package for 69 '69 Camaros strictly to run down the 1320' I believe Bill "Grumpy" Jenkins was the first Pro Stock driver to break the 9's with a ZL1 car in '69. They didn't look like them made much more than about 330 horse' on the street, in OEM trim though. Give that baby some headers, tunnel ram, gears, slicks, and a TH400 with a good stall and she got up and flew.

XD

Lets see a whole arsenal of dealer-installable goodies for both SS and Z/28...power-boosters, interior customizers, exterior customizers, performance parts...all done while still being able to say the car is "stock" =D

PS: It looks to me (from Transformer's 2 Bumblebee) that GM hasnt really put a scoop on the hood but just expanded the cowl opening on the nose...i dont really dig the new fog light design though, needs a little modifying
