At least we get one good option deal up here in Canada. lol To bad the base price is way higher.

oops, i was think of 55K (which is what the car stickered for.. not sure what elese it had.. But it definitely had the SVT option on it.

the credit comes cause you have an upgraded suspension set on your car as is... they dont remove anything to resell later.

and you get your wheels and tires back...

so they're actually just giving you a credit for the (wholesale) cost of the PP minus the wheels/tires...

you need to get your facts straight boy! (and dont be angry cause you own a 2010... jk!)
No need to be rude. I'm far from a "boy" or a "little feller" and I won't lower myself to your level by taking personal shots at you. I'm still pretty sure they keep the parts and sell them through a third party vendor unless you work out a deal with them.
I'm not angry that I own a 2010 GT500. The 2011's were out when I bought my 2010. I got a good deal on it and I'm very pleased with it. With the money I saved I could do the FR3 suspension, control arms, panhard bar, camber plates, tires and a TVS upgrade to 650 HP and run circles around your 2011, plus still have money left over. What most fail to realize is that the susp and tires on the 2011 GT500 is what makes the most difference, even more than the 120 lbs weight loss. If you do headers, front control arms and relocate the battery to the trunk you can save about 80 lbs off the front of a 2010. The performance differences between the 2010 and 2011 are not as great as what the press might have you believe. I drove both and like
I said with the deal I got on the 2010 I had no difficultly with my choice.

straight from the horses mouth, aka customer service at shelby. no special agreement etc...

just sayin, might want to make sure you have your facts straight. is that your grabber blue gt500 in your avatar?

The car will not be 130k like someone stated. At the very most, the total cost will amount to ~90k. They're not going to all-of-a-sudden toss an extra $50,000 on the price with only a 50hp bump and they are obviously not going to infringe on the 100k mark where the 1,000hp shelby is supposed to be priced. This car will pull 1G+ on the skidpad, trap in the 130s and brake like a monster. If you wanted to build a gt500 to these specs, sure you could do it cheaper, but the rarity isn't there and the resale isn't there. At 80k, this car will smoke a z06 and anything else in its price range, so it is a pretty good value if they hold the pricing in the same region. Personally, I wouldn't buy it, but if my needs and wants were different I had 80k laying around, my position would be very different.

TRUE DAT! BUT..... I'm not selling!!! ....unless i get t-boned the car is staying with ME!

It's the internet...I don't have to be factual. lol Part of the credit must have to do with the fact that the PP cars come with the 3.73's. So they don't have to change out the gears(non PP cars have 3.55's). But I don't understand why they would use narrower rear tires than stock, it's going to compound an already bad situation especially with 800 hp on tap?!?
Yup that's my blue beast in the photo. Check out my photos in the garage.
What color is yours?

Stock SuperSnake wheels look nice but none of the Shelby performance guys buy them because the offset is strange. The largest tire you can fit with that offset is 275. Contrast that to the stockers on my base GT500 that currenty have 305's with no fitment issues whatsoever. You can fit 335s on the Shelby if you find the right offset rim... mmmmm

yeah totally agree... not sure why they went with a narrower tire... not like we are lacking in spin-power.

if i go with the SS package, i'll be getting my rims powder coated in the flat black anthracite they have as an option to the actual wheels... looks bloddy sinister.

mine is a race red with the PP stripes in white.

love it.

must have the SS package with matte white stripes and matte black wheels... gorgeous!

Whats all this talk of a warranty? The full tilt Super Snake to my knowledge does NOT have a powertrain warranty. If you guys really like alot of power with a warranty then look at the LPE package. It puts about 40k on top of your new Vette and comes with a warranty. You also get a brand new 427 twin turbo motor so thats a cool plus.

I do agree. It was sorry for Ford to not paint the axles on the GT500.

At least for 2011 they are finally painted.

My 2011 GT500 differential is fully painted and came with a slick finned aluminum cover from the factory. That was a short issue from a previous MY's
